For the Giants head-coaching job, I'm told it's down to #Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur and Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Link - ( New Window )
I just can't see McDaniel's leading this team with command. It's like getting Mcadoo all over again except with way better offensive play-calling skills.
McDaniels takes the Colts job, Shurmur takes the Giants job Â
But this sounds like someone from Shurmur's camp building him up. He interviewed with the Bears, Giants, and Cardinals. The Bears have their coach. If the rumors are true about McDaniels here then that leaves one spot for Shurmur. I read a report that said he may not be Arizona's top candidate and I saw a tweet that Shurmur asked for more money from Arizona and the Giants. This could just be to put pressure on Arizona to hire him.

If McAdoo had "way better offensive play-calling skills" he'd still be coaching the Giants.

Pat Shurmur remains a strong candidate for both the Giants and Cardinals jobs, according to a league source. Both teams would need to wait until after the conference championship game to conduct a second interview with Shurmur.

This means it’s Shurmur’s job.

Huh? Mac's problems ran much deeper than play calling.
Want to believe the “Asshat” info which says it’s McDaniels, but there’s just too much smoke around him and the Indy job for me to believe he has picked us. Shurmur I guess would be good though for us if we’re 100% taking a QB. He’s done well developing them. Just not the hire I want.
the Giants just might be left at the altar.
If Shurmur were to decide to go to the desert,
he could ask for a package deal with Keenum.
The operative word here is could!
Their QB situation is in more flux than around here.
He obviously has done a great job with Keenum..
I don't think the Pats coordinators are walking on down.
Do they still have Wilks' phone number?

Jim Caldwell?
Teryl Austin?
Reopen search?
I would interview Munchak, Vrabel, Reich, Del Rio and Taub. They should seriously consider a college HC as well.

Not DelRio...maybe as DC though.
Reich just might be!
