Wilks on MLK have historical significance? At the most, it has significance within the organization as he would be the first african american coach for the NY Giants, but otherwise, historically speaking, an announcement on this holiday is really not that big of a deal, and if a deal was in place yesterday or Saturday with wilks, they could've announced it then.

First of all McDaniels or Shurmur would notify the Colts/Cards and his assistants to begin assembling a staff.
