Is he forgetting the Cards? Shurmur is a top candidate there.

Rumors are the Cards and Shurmur have cooled on each other.
As good of a coach Shurmur apparently is....If there is any hesitation about him liking the lime light and the big lights of New York...he should not be the guy.
Hate to beat a dead drum but I've been pining for him since day one. If nothing else, he will groom our future young QB into an excellent pro. Lastly, OBJ and company should absolutely shine, with whatever offense Shurmur, and his hand picked OC will install.
Question is, if we do get Shurmur, does Spags stay on as DC?
Arizona has no QB. Cannot assume Case Keenum will go with Shurmer because Vikings can franchise Keenum if they choose.
True but that would be absolutely shocking with Bridgewater and Bradford still on the roster to invest $20mil for 1 year on Case Keemun (as good as hes been). If I had to bet money hes hitting the open market.
he likes Keenum. People have taken that to mean anything from he'll try to have Keenum follow him to he's demanding Keenum will be his QB as a prerequisite for taking the job.
I mean, he made a few nice throws but lets be serious, Keenum is an average QB. If Shurmur really wont take a job without him, then i dont trust his judgment nor do I want him as HC of the Giants.
That said, I am sure that it is nonsense and he'll take a job as HC of the Giants if offered - with or without Keenum.
Keenum won't be coming here. Won't make sense for the Giants. We're not keeping both Eli and Keenum - Keenum will command a Glennon-type contract at a minimum and there's a large cap hit to part ways with Eli. We also have the #2 pick. Shurmur/Cardinals - very likely they bring in Keenum, but it just doesn't make sense here.
over Eli AND a QB with the 2nd pick then I have a bridge to sell them. Of course Shurmur is going praise Keenum but there is no chance in hell that he would demand Keenum. In fact it should assure any of those who have doubts about Shurmur. If he can build an offense where Keenum can thrive then what would he do with Eli and either Darnold/Allen/Rosen. I actually preferred Wilks and Shurmur from the beginning. McDaniels worries me especially after the reports that he was still asking for control over the roster. I would be very happy with Shurmur as HC, Russ Grimm as OL coach, DeFilippo as OC, and George Edwards as DC. Shurmur could possibly lure Edwards away from Minnesota with the DC and asst HC title. If Edwards turns the Giants defense around next year he will be a top HC candidate a year from now.
While realizing he doesn't have 2 SB MVPs on his resume
not sure why folks here don't think Keenum is playing at a higher level right now than Eli. Because he is.
But throw that all away anyway because candidate coaches don't demand anything of the like (mandating Keenum has to be a Giant) in a room determining their next potential job.

Giant fan thinks Giants are more attractive than other teams. In other news, ice is frozen.

No no no. Eli being here is a BAD thing. Don't you know that by now?

It's like a bad game of phone tag.

If he is the QB whisperer he should be fine with the 3 choices available to him now.
No need to add another

This isn't the movies guys...
