" Before Sunday – a day that turned out to be one of the greatest in Minnesota Vikings history – 99-year-old Millie Wall had never been to a Vikings playoff game.
Wall, though, has been a fan since the team’s inception. So ahead of the team’s Divisional Round game against New Orleans Saints, the Vikings organization surprised her with tickets. They hoped she’d bring good luck. That seems to have worked out pretty well.
And now, thanks to the NFL, Wall is headed to the Super Bowl. Commissioner Roger Goodell personally came to meet Wall at Sunday’s game and present her with tickets.
The Vikings, of course, still need to get to the Super Bowl for Millie to see her home team in her home city in February. They play the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in Philly in the NFC Championship. There’s even a Twitter hashtag, #MillieToPhilly, to try to send Millie to that game.
The Super Bowl is two weeks later, back at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. And whether or not the Vikings are there, Millie will be."
