I’ve seen it in quite a few articles, and threads ,that people are saying that PS will want to take Keenum with him. Including here.Question is what will the Vikings do? If the make it to the Super Bowl, do they let him walk reguardless if they win or not? I admit I don’t follow the Vikings at all so I couldn’t tell you how Bradford did or anyone else they have. I just can’t see a team with a quarterback that takes them to the NFC championship game and possibly the super bowl, just letting him sign elsewhere. I suppose you could point out Denver with Brock, but I think that was more of a grudge thing.
For what it’s worth I’m not saying I want Keenum here, just heard it enough times that I wondered why they wouldn’t want to keep him..
He's a likable guy. But man did he throw up some ducks. The play that ultimately decided the game was not a good pass or decision. I've seen him getaway with a number of floaters this year that perhaps destiny is on his side. But I hope he doesn't ever play meaningful snaps for the Giants.
If Eli is dealt, Bradford could very well be brought in as insurance for, probably, Rosen.

I've read this on other posts too. Yes, he definitely got away with some floaters on Sunday, but with the last pass, what really were his options?
The ball had to go out of bounds and NO actually was defending the sideline...they just didn't finish it off.
That ball was put right on the spot. Sure it could have been defended better, and should have, but that's usually what happens when the clock is winding down and QBs have to force the ball somewhere.
Sam Bradford is one such player for me.

Not a good decision? It was their last chance to get in FG range. And he had to get rid of it quickly so the WR could catch it and get out of bounds with time left.

And I don't think he has a realistic chance at winning the Super Bowl.

Yeah. LOL. Pass? On the money. Decision? Less than 10 seconds to go with the clock running and he had to throw to the sidelines or time would have run out.

I think thats the likely scenario here.
But the floaters I saw in that game, and not just that game, but in others this year, they looked like chuck-n-ducks, and I've never seen a guy get bailed out by his receivers as often as Keenum has this year on throws like that.
Everything went right for Vikings so far. Rogers went down, Lions,as always can't win money game.
Wins game on flukiest of plays. Kinda reminds me of the Tebow year. Everything went right.
Keenum is probably signing a Glennon type of contract, large guarantees with potential to cut bait or restructure early in the deal. Factoring in Eli's dead money, you're not really saving anything against the cap and better off just rolling with our guy. Keenum doesn't offer the upside of the #2 pick either, so he really doesn't give us anything longterm either.
Bradford, always hurt.
On the game Sunday they were even discussing how Zimmer actually said he'd throw Bradford in there if they were trailing because he's a better thrower.
He’d be a backup if he came.
Don't they have to pay him around $25-30M if they tag him?
