Dolphins Hiring Eric Studesville As RBs Coach/Run-Game Coordinator

Jeff Legwold of ESPN is reporting that the Dolphins have hired former Broncos RBs coach Eric Studesville as their new RBs coach and run-game coordinator.
Reports from last week mentioned that Studesville interviewed for a position on Adam Gase’s staff after they fired RBs coach Danny Barrett, so this isn’t all that surprising.
Studesville, 50, began his NFL coaching career with the Bears back in 1997 as their RBs coach. He worked for the Giants and Bills before being hired by the Broncos back in 2010.
Denver elected to promote Studesville fo their assistant HC/RBs coach before firing him a few weeks ago.
Studesville interviewed for the Giants HC position, but was clearly no longer in the running for the job.
of guys the Giants should be landing at their current roles. Shurmur is an Offensive Coordinator (not HC type). Studesville a position coach.
I do not like the idea of elevating guys over their competency level (Peter Principle).
As DG pointed out and I agree 100% - the HC is more a CEO than Cs and Os. Shurmur is a great XO guy. As a HC you lose that while accentuating his negatives. Why should the MIN Vikings have him correctly employed as an OC but the NY Giants should hire him as a HC? Bullshit.

This is so stupid. So because he's been an OC, he should only be an OC the rest of his career? Coaches don't learn from past experiences, grow, change, evolve, adapt? You have no idea what his competency level is in the first place.

This makes no sense. How do you know that Shurmur is not competent enough to be a HC now? Because he had a rough go of it with the shittiest NFL franchise on the planet nearly 10 years ago?
I guess Bill Belichick should have just remained a DC his entire career.

So who would you hire? If your going to criticize the choice, offer an alternate solution
who can he bring with him? Coordinators can make or break a HC.
My hope is that one of Shurmur's main qualification isn't that he has a personal style similar to John Mara's. Hell, I'd almost welcome Coughlin having livid sh!t-fits on the sideline again if it gets the players' attention.
I'm sure the Cowboys and Packers were both sorry back in the day when they hired co-ordinators Landry and Lombardi as head coaches. Did the peter principle come in to play there or even with Parcells who did alright here after only being an assistant.

Hope you enjoy an entry-level position for 40 years. This is just another one your moronic posts- I've seen quite a few.

Command the room is horrid. I picture everyone at film study shooting each other with spitballs behind Shurmur's back. But CEO.

I hope Quinn gets fired just so I never have to read another lame "pictures" joke.
Ever since last year that term spread like wildfire here.
