Ward didn't take many hard hits, he was the "wind" just kinda breezed around then fell to the ground
That said maybe it is CTE, he was a tough player for sure not calling him soft, he just didn't take the typical RB beating and his volume was never very high..
Sounds like his wife should file for divorce , guy has issues. Her stats at getting murdered by him just went up like 150% ++ forget the exact stat
Yep. Duh. It's just sounds like the makings of a typical American marriage... You got the answers directly in your face. What's there new to discuss here?
CTE? lol That is a good excuse though. I'm gonna blame CTE the next time I get pulled over by a cop. Its got "cant miss!" written all over it!
By the way, Ward always did seem like an unfriendly guy.
The real question is why are people still allowing someone to abuse them in today’s information and places to receive help? Sure it looks bad because he is a former NFL player but the numbers don’t lie this is a human problem worldwide.
this has been going on awhile. His wife is a friend of my sister's and a group of them have been trying to get her to leave for years.
Ward exhibits all the signs of an abuser, and while CTE could be a mitigating factor, he follows the pattern that most abusers do.
He was really charming around his wife's friends at first. Everything seemed fine. Then, little arguments blew up. Friends saw here less and less. Bruises and injuries were from "falls". Slowly, the friend circle started getting cut off.
There was a huge incident down in Atlanta several years ago. I can't remember if Ward actually was arrested, but he took his wife out of town for the weekend and ended up demolishing the hotel room in a fit of anger. Things haven't been the same since then. There would be regular outbursts followed by him trying to make-up, often giving his wife expensive gifts.
The friends have been entirely cut off for 2 years and they keep trying to secretly reach out to her to get her to leave.

Not a good situation.
Oof. Somebody does know. Terrible to hear things like this about anyone.
unfortunately my sister's best friend feels really responsible. She's an event planner and did work with Ward's wife for something in the music industry. She also knew Ward from doing NFL events and wasn't the matchmaker, but apparently the two met at a party she hosted.
I remember thinking it was cool that my sister had pics of her with Ward and the friends at clubs or events, then she started telling me the issues.

That's too bad. She shouldn't beat herself up, how could she have known? It's a shame that there are kids involved.

Or this is the life of crime that you would have predicted for him anyway.
players have serious brain damage, I think asking whether a former player acting "crazy" is related to possible brain damage is fair, and would seem to be an obvious question.

Again, loooong before he was in the NFL, he was a gangbanger.

Not all players have brain damage. Ward was a POS before he was a "star"

That doesn't make anything I said false. Former gangbanger or not, whether he has severe mental damage is a fair and obvoius question to ask.
If he's been abusive his entire life, whether it was towards females or as a gangbanger, that's indicative of a person with problems.
Normal people don't go around beating others. seeing he engaged in abusive behavior throughout life, it is more likely he's a POS with mental issues, and whether or not CTE plays a role really is academic.
CTE has become the new way to excuse any behavior that's erratic, when it really should be used just to provide context on why somebody committed suicide or is living as a homeless person under an overpass.
I do not remember seeing him there ,Also didnt he date one of the Kardashian sisters after he left the Giants ? I remember reading something on it and it said he worked on the show Friends and played in the NFL when it showed them 2 together in the picture it think it was one of those magazines like US

What are the odds!

Here’s the story
Ward - ( New Window )
I made it in my mind because
Blame it on my CTE baby
This is how an angel dies
Blame it on my own sick pride
Blame it on my CTE baby
SAIL.

It's CTE!!!
