Orlando Brown

Breeze_94 : 1/19/2018 12:54 am
I have a feeling he ends up climbing up the draft boards throughout the process and the Giants end up taking him at 2, which i would hate because I want Saquon or Darnold at 2.

Giants take him, followed by them justifying the reach by saying “you can’t teach size” and “we believe he’s a franchise LT”.

I don’t know why, but I can just see this happening and I think he will be a bust because his feet are not suited to play tackle against the speed rushers in the NFL. Very Flowers-esque.
Reese for better or worse

definitely had a propensity to draft for need in round 1, but I don’t think any of us have a real gauge of Gettleman’s line of thinking. Too early to be worried about such a scenario imo.
That would be..,,

Horrific and I don’t believe it will happen. Huge, strong, not great foot quickness - we already have that

Come on...

He's Flowers with even worse feet

Brown is the type of player that got the Giants in trouble
He is a player with potential based on his athletic skills
He shows glimpses of great plays that are enticing
But he is not consistent and has not played to his expectations

He is a hit or miss that will take development
I would not take him in the first or second rounds

Hit in the eye with penalty flag

Uh what? It's his athleticism that is the big question mark.

I think he could be a really good RT. But you don't draft them with the # 2 pick in the draft.
Very sloppy
Sy'56 : 1/19/2018 8:31 am : link
If he wasn't enormous, would you still like him?\

He has a ton of work to do on technique, stability, foot speed.

Good edge rushers lineup on both sides these days. If you can’t play LT, you probably won’t be much better at RT

A "ton of work" does not equal the #2 pick.
"ton" may not equal #32 either. But if Joe Thomas retires he may be worth the risk to the Browns...with the 34 to fall back on.
I wouldn’t take him at 2
WillVAB : 1/19/2018 9:13 am : link
But he’s gonna be a good player in the league.
QB driven league.
HoustonGiant : 1/19/2018 9:22 am : link
With the exception of Barkley, I could the Giants trading back to 10 and almost every team taking a QB.
Another Ereck Flowers?
KerrysFlask : 1/19/2018 11:26 am : link
For real?
And at 2 this time?

No way.
What's wrong with Brown? He's a highly rated OT
PatersonPlank : 1/19/2018 11:33 am : link
and will go somewhere in the 1st round. Certainly he isn't horrible. I wouldn't take him at #2 but I don't get the bashing.
