NFT: iPhone 6s experiencing stuttering

tbonfig : 1/19/2018 3:41 pm
Has anyone had this recent problem? Strange because I thought I made it through, for the most part, the involuntary obsolescence issue created by the very public battery issues, but it seems like in the past week, everything I do on my phone is delayed.

If I am texting, it hesitates, if I switch apps, it takes a second.

I suppose I could do a factory reset but those are always a pain in the ass and I'd prefer not to at this point.

Anyone else?

my phone had the same problem. Its like $160 to fix it. I opted to get a new phone instead of waiting.

The update back in fall. None of the updates are fixing it. About to go back to a flip phone.
I have a 7 but same thing started happening
Breeze_94 : 1/19/2018 4:08 pm : link
if I click on an app, it freezes.

Even if I open something like the alarm clock or calculator app on the phone, it will freeze.

I also receive text messages out of order

of companies that don't intentionally ruin my property so that I have to buy another item.
Try backing up, then resetting to factory settings

If that doesn't work, place directly in toilet, cause you need a new phone.

Yeah, I'm sure Apple is the only tech company doing things like this. Samsung phones never freeze up or slow down over the life of the device.

Apple was just the first to have to publicly acknowledge it.

See if your 6s is eligible for battery replacement for free by Apple. Mine was because some iPhone 6s that were made during a certain period of time had a known issue. I got mine replaced and now it works much smoother.

So you think this could be a battery issue?
Reflash the iOS...

Like said above, backup to iTunes, download the latest iPhone flash image for your 6s by Googling IPSW for 6s. Make sure the IPSW version you’re flashing matches the backup you have on iTunes or you will get an generic error code when you try to restore from back up.

I reflashd mine last week to try and solve a problem I’ve been having with Waze crashing my connectivity. No joy for me and my issues but your results may vary.

Also, as mentioned above, run your iPhone s/n against the site Apple has for the 6s battery replacement program. Even if your phone doesn’t qualify under the recall you can get a new battery installed by Apple for about 30 bucks.
thanks all

on the phone with them now and I do qualify for the replacement, so I'll go through with that.

Thanks everyone
