ESPN: How Shurmur brought out the best in Keenum, Foles

Defenderdawg : 1/21/2018 10:02 am
“Whatever [QB] direction they choose, the Giants should have all the confidence in the world that they have the right person to tackle this task if they hire Shurmur. If there’s one thing above all the accomplishments he’s had as an offensive coordinator, Shurmur has proved he can handle just about any quarterback situation and make his personnel thrive...”

“The numbers back up the notion that both Keenum and Foles performed their best in Shurmur’s system. The two quarterbacks have a combined 26-8 record as starters under Shurmur compared to a collective 18-28 mark under all other offensive coordinators. According to ESPN Stats & Information, both quarterbacks' completion percentage, touchdown-to-interception ratio, passing yards per game, yards per attempt and Total QBR are all higher with Shurmur as their offensive coordinator...”

“The notion that Shurmur molds his system to his personnel and not the other way around is echoed throughout the Vikings' locker room. Building upon the strengths of the players he has at his disposal, particularly his quarterbacks, is how the offensive coordinator has been able to adapt to changes along the way and not miss a beat...”

draw is busted out, will be people try and string him up by a lamppost?

No one seems to know why the Giants never interviewed Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz for the head-coaching job. In Arizona, no one seems to know who the Cardinals will hire to be the team’s next head coach.

So he writes a few articles about Schwartz to the Giants and how he is the favorite and clearly that information was wrong and now he is acting as if it was a huge mystery as to why the Giants didn't interview him. They clearly didn't much if any interest in Schwartz.

Volin Boston Globe said Patricia was never a finalist on the Giants list

Volin Boston Globe: Sunday Football Notes: After the ‘Minnesota Miracle,’ Vikings fans believe that this is their time

“As for Patricia, our source said he was never really a finalist for the Giants job that came down to McDaniels and Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur.”

“The Giants are looking for a do-over on their 2016 coaching search. Their three finalists were Ben McAdoo, Doug Pederson, and Shurmur. Two of them will be coaching in today’s NFC Championship game, while we all know how McAdoo fared in his two seasons as head coach.”

Myers reads like a middle school newspaper. I make the mistake a few times a decade. Shame on me.

Its the Shotgun draw on 3rd and 9, and down a score late in the 3rd quarter that's infuriating.

Only if they learn what a shotgun draw is first.
Myers is awesome

He will never consider information he heard (or made up) was inaccurate. He just analyzes all subsequent facts in light of his error and tries to rationalize backwards to fit his imagined fact pattern.

He may have no idea what he is writing about, but you have to give him credit for how hard he works to avoid admitting he was wrong.

He is driven by his Jets fan bias.
