Agree. If they win the SB, players would be more inclined to stay on the team for a cost/price reduction because winning it all is a great achievement. For the NFC east and the Giants, this could get ugly real quick....

They'll take a few contracts the Eagles don't want to swap picks in the first round. Maybe they throw in a first round pick for 2019 and a player or two if they Eagles throw Foles in the deal.

1000%. Players don’t think like this. They want to get paid as much as they can when they can. Rightfully so. It’s a brutal sport. Plus they also realize that your team can be great one year and awful the next. It’s a year by year league now unless you are the Pats. And speaking of the Pats, if this was true you would see them grab all the available FAs over the last decade or so at ultra low prices. That has not happened.
