Does the Philly win change our draft game plan

Adirondack GMen : 1/22/2018 10:46 am
Facing Philly twice each year and knowing how good they are on both sides of the ball do we still take a QB in the first? We need to beable to protect Eli or ? establish the run game and stuff the run like we did in 16. So using our #2 pick for a player who may not be ready to contribute immediately may not be in our best interest if we want to beat Philly or those "D-ass" guys from lone star.
Trading for multiple picks to beef up our O line and get some D line help, Lb's and a edge rusher who can make Wentz uncomfortable should be our draft game plan.
Just my arm chair thoughts as I wait for the snow to melt up her.

Two side notes to the Del Rio plane incident posted yesterday- Last year I was in the boarding area with Doug Williams and saw how pestered he was by autograph seekers When I went past him ( in first class) I smiled and said -that was tougher than a 1st and goal from the one. He smiled and nodded. Then I heard him say to the guy behind me - "I'll sign it when we get off". Never happened- 1st class passengers are long gone before coach empties out.
Second event was in Albany NY airport after the HOF weekend in Cooperstown. Lou Brock was in the boarding area and was swarmed by guys with bats, shirts and napkins to sign. He did a few but had to have his friend tell folks to let him rest.
I'm sure this happens to most well known celeb's flying so we shouldn't characterize a person if he wants some private time.
There were a bunch of guys

in the boarding area with baseball bats?
I sat across from Bobby Bacala in 1st class

the layout of the plane had everyone go through 1st class to coach. It was appalling the liberties people took, touching him, grabbing him , delaying the line, just so disrespectful
Don’t think your thread title matches your premise

Last nights game compartmentalized doesn’t change the franchises most important draft plans in over a decade.
How did they get the bats past TSA?

The shegals win I would think would have no effect on the Giants draft board. The Giants can not use the #2 pick if the player can not contribute immediately, too big of an investment to sit on the bench.

This isn't how you make draft decisions at all.

So if the Eagles had lost

6-0 yesterday, the Giants still should have drafted a qb? How does what the eagles did yesterday change anything? Also, the eagles were largely in the position to be at home yesterday because of what a legit franchise qb did for them virtually the entire season. Does Foles win on the road in either the divisions round of NFCC? Unlikely.

Also, ask yourself, are the Giants a number 2 pick at the OL from competing with the eagles? The answer is they have many, many holes. Why not start that rebuilding process- which doesn't necessarily need to be a long one- with a franchise qb selection.

There is a lot of cleanup that needs to be done, multiple bad contracts that need to go (starting with jpp and Vernon). The draft isn't about next year, it's about the next 10-15.

I'll add that yesterday was the first time since Wentz went down that the eagles didn't look like the worst team in the NFC playoffs. It literally took one of the most fortuitous bounces I've seen for them to even be in that game yesterday.
