Yes to Shurmur...
“Simms likes the offense Shurmur brings with him from Minnesota.
“It’s universal,” he said. “There are 32 starting quarterbacks in the league and 32 can run his offense. I could have run that offense when I was 40 and when I was 20. It’s awesome.”
But the tone must be set during that first meeting during OTAs...”
However:
“Simms won’t guarantee Shurmur will be the next great Giants coach. He thought Handley was a good hire. Then Handley couldn’t figure out whom he wanted the starting quarterback to be, and it went downhill from there.”

No disrespect to Phil, but I'm going to wait and see regarding Shurmur and pretty much everything else with this franchise going forward. I have little reason to jump on board any hype trains anymore.

I think that Shurmur is going to be a very similar coach to Doug Pederson. I am not saying that he will be as good but Shurmur is similar in style and they both build their offense around the players strengths. Since Shurmur is calling the plays I really hope that DeFilippo is the OC as he would make a smooth transition to a similar offense.
And Danny Kannell too.
"I spoke with the guys in the front office and they're saying, 'Oh man, Kannell definitely has it.'"

"Watch out for Marvin Austin!", too.

Someone posted a thread last week about Timberlake being punchable. He got some push back so he said, okay, then who would you want to punch. I couldn't think of anyone, but this thread jogged my memory: Danny Kanell. So douchey.
Thats a bad sign.
If he comes in with some average transparent play calling - like against Eagles.
