Odell Beckham highlights...

Keith : 2/6/2018 11:08 pm
Can’t wait to see the best wr in football back in action. Sucks not being able to watch his awesomeness this season.

Don’t forget how special this kid is.
Link - ( New Window )
my favorite is the one
markky : 2/6/2018 11:28 pm : link
where he turns Sherman around down the sideline.

Sherman gave him some props after that game.
Mine are the rams highlights.

They were really dirty with a few very late hits and he abused them.

He’s basically unstoppable.

And a few more on Jr...

That number 10 looks pretty damn good at times...

That guy can drop it in...he even steps up in the pocket well...

But according to BBI...

We all know the rest...
Love watching OBJ.

He's the best WR in the game imo and I'm excited to see him in Shurmurs offense.
how could you not want to pair him up
SHO'NUFF : 2/7/2018 1:50 am : link
with Barkley?
Sign him
BIGbluegermany : 2/7/2018 5:16 am : link

I agree with an earlier post, there are a lot Manning highlights in there as well.

It just seems the game is just slowed down for OBJ...amazing

He was just as good. Wasn't a POS. Was a good teammate. Odell still has a long way to go.
A real WR - ( New Window )
Lol, the idiocy...
Keith : 2/7/2018 7:12 am : link
Nicks was great, looks like he’s running at half the speed of Odell. It’s actually amazing, we can all agree that nicks was great, but when you watch those highlights, he’s like playing HS football compared to Odell. That’s how good Odell is.

In what world does posting something positive about OBJ say anything negative (POS?!) about Hakeem Nicks. Nicks was a great Giant whose career was cut way too short.

I reserve the right to like both of these players.

Very excited for next season and hope he comes back hungrier than ever! Excited to see what Schumer has in store for this offense!

Can we stop with this bullshit narrative that Odell is a POS? He is not going home after work to beat his girlfriend or rail lines of cocaine and bang hookers.

He is just an extremely passionate player who hates losing. As far as I am concerned the only real bad moment he has had was the Norman game, which I was at. Norman was giving him cheap shots after the whistle early and the refs did nothing. They could have squashed that in the 1st quarter.

shouldn't even be taken seriously. You want to call him a POS because of some of his behavior, fine. Youd be wrong, but clearly we have a difference of opinion on what a POS is. Suggesting that he's not a great teammate is so far off base that you lose all credibility. His teammates all love and respect him. He's a great teammate.
I hate to say it but as much as I love OBJ
BestFeature : 2/7/2018 8:52 am : link
Only Giants fans think he's the best WR in the league.

You make a good point, but he is universally considered a top 3 receiver. Brown and Jones are both 4-5 years older than him. So in a couple years Odell is hands down the best.

Odell is after A. Brown but better than Julio.
bumpsinthenight : 2/7/2018 9:05 am : link
Julio has never put up more TDs in season than Odell. Think about that one; yes, including his shortened rookie season and this one.
I believe Odell is better than A Brown.
Keith : 2/7/2018 9:38 am : link
A Brown is on a team that has one of the best running games in football. Teams can't just focus on Brown. Odell was on a team that didn't have any other weapons. He'd be double and triple teamed all game and still put up numbers. I know it's taboo to say it, fans are scared to be considered "homers", but it's reality. He burst onto the scene in his rookie season and he hasn't slowed down(until the injury of course).

Odell is the best WR in football and I'm not scared to say it and I'm not being a homer.
I would

Trade him, he could get 2 first round picks, in my view he is better off to be used as assets, he is a great talent, but he is too much a me first guy for my liking, you get two first rounder's for him and you run with it.
Good lord

Not a good teammate? His teammates love him and his work ethic. POS? Probably one of the most ridiculous comments on this site in a long time - almost as ridiculous as the statement Nicks was "just as good." Nicks was a very good player for us, played extremely well in the playoff run to 46 and it's a shame injuries hampered his career. But Beckham is a generational talent, one of the best ever to play the position. It amazes me how some on this site, some who purport to be Giants fans, want to run this kid out of town.

It's funny that nobody is calling AJ Green a piece of shit for punching Jalen Ramsey. I don't understand the hatred for Odell.
Awful
Fish : 2/7/2018 4:54 pm : link
to consider Odell a POS. Sure he had a few minor issues, Norman, Florida and the dog peeing. The kid is passionate and when defenses are trying to take his head off he needs to be wound like that. Cut him some slack. 2 picks in a draft would not help heel the wounds I would have watching kicking ass on another team.

On the same token, Odell has made Eli look good a LOT. You watch that highlight and there were a ton of throws that were off target that only a guy like Odell catches. That's what makes this kid the best.

But I see a QB that makes the correct throws...

Given time...I see a QB that can step into a clean pocket...and make any throw on the field.

I still see a QB that can drop a pass into a small window...

Just watching your link...I'm going to say 10 made more correct passes than Jr made a great catch.

I'm not taking anything away from Jr's game... 10 still has it.

That concept is beyond the Anti-Eli crowd these days...

But to my eye...I see a QB that still has the passes he needs

I understand the Eli defense is on high alert, but I wasn’t suggesting a thing about Eli’s abilities or faults. Strictly giving OBJ credit for some amazing catches over his career.
A few thoughts
Matt M. : 2/7/2018 10:09 pm : link
1) Besides the ridiculous body control and amazingly strong hands on so many of the catches, it's that second gear that is amazing. How many of those clips did he make a catch in traffic and just run away from several defenders?

2) I loved Nicks and for a couple of years he was outstanding. But, he wasn't in the same stratosphere as OBJ. That is not a knock on Nicks; it is a tribute to how good OBJ really is.

3) I have said it many times...forget best WR in the game. Before getting hurt, I honestly think he is the best offensive player I've seen. Yes, that includes Rice, Moss, Owens, etc. Now, I'm not saying he would necessarily end up the GOAT, because that would involve playing at this level for a very long time, which is very difficult. But, his level of play has certainly been right there. Who knows what the future holds, especially post injury, but he is an amazing talent.

4) Based on #3, I think it is crazy to consider trading him, especially now with Shep and Engram establishing themselves. Trading him strips the team of their one true star in hopes that they can find one in the draft. That just doesn't make sense to me.
