Hernangomez’s skill set, though, is as an old-school, low-post center and didn’t develop a long-range shot. He’s been out of the rotation all season and his agent recently encouraged the Knicks to shop him if his situation isn’t going to change.
“I don’t dislike him, but I also don’t think anyone is giving up a first for him at the deadline,” one NBA scout told The Post about Hernangomez. “I thought they’d wait and set their sights higher with getting a late first on draft night, depending on who is left. He’s a decent backup center, but it’s a league that is now transitioning away from bigs who don’t shoot 3s. And I wouldn’t go so far as to say he can score a lot. Hernangomez has the ability to score against backups. But he’s not a guy you have to worry about double teaming or anything. If he were that good, he’d be playing for the Knicks.”

Harbaugh seems to have a 3-5 year shelf life wherever he goes. And Rick Partridge is far enough removed from Paramus Catholic that he doesn't have as much sway over the Jabril Peppers and Rashan Gary's any more. There are currently 4 former PC players at Michigan.
We got some good flips today. Improved our oline and secondary!!
I don't think they recruited well enough on the DL. The failure with Eason is a real disappointment IMO. They were generally lacking in 5 star recruits when compared to the other annual playoff contenders. I expect better from an ND coach who has been in place for almost a decade.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but this seems like the type of class that Kelly will win 8-9 games with most years (like he pretty much always does). That seems to be good enough for a lot of people. Not me.
Had hats from Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida on the table. Mom sitting next to him decked out in Crimson Tide and Volunteer apparel. Copeland puts on the Gators' hat. Mom gets up and storms out.
I think things will turn around for them real quick if the quarterback transfer from Ole Miss is able to play right away. They've had 2 amazing prior recruiting classes, and I expect some of that to pay off next season.
Different publications give guys different star ratings. And the colleges have detailed scouting reports, citing dozens of attributes and weaknesses in players, based on their program’s wants and needs and their own preferences. Ask any coach in college football whether they know if a kid is a five star or a two star recruit, and they’ll all tell you that they don’t know, and they don’t care about someone else’s star rating. I heard Saban and others say exactly that yesterday. So these class rankings are bullshit anyway. It’s the same thing as saying Mel Kiper knows how to rate talent better than Belichick’s personnel department.

It's not. If you look at the data teams with under 50% of blue chips don't have the chances to win titles. blue chip ratio - ( New Window )

Partridge's only use was the Paramus Catholic kids (or wannabes like Walker), and the school didn't have any Division 1 prospects this year. His name is mud with the other big NNJ Catholics.
The Petit-Frere loss was huge, he made a deal with Greg Frey that he could take the FSU job in exchange for not pursuing him, and still lost him.
Lol
They also won a big recruiting battle over Clemson and Stanford for Dax Hollifield #8 ILB recruit in the nation.

Crap wrong thread
They did a lot better than I expected. They're probably lucky they had most of the class locked in before the Elko disaster.

Helluva role model.

That's damn impressive.
Georgia had a nice class. They're going to be a force under Smart.
