Are you factoring in that they may get the #1 pick in the draft??
possibly, but net it out with their own pick they just sent to LA.
It comes down to Kyrie (+ Frye) and a 1st for Clarkson and Nance Crowder (who has been pretty bad), Zizic plus the Nets pick. I guess need to see where the Nets pick winds up.
I think the side getting Kyrie makes that trade again in a second. Maybe both sides do actually.
Clears the way for Kuzma and Randle to split PF minutes Â
Kyrie plus late 20's pick
for
Crowder, Clarkson, Nance and top 3 pick
Can't say they won the trade(although I thought they did at the time), but Kyrie made it impossible to get fair value. Not a bad trade for Cle considering.

As you know better than anyone, Bobby, perception and reality typically have a spurious connection at best. Koby Altman and the @cavs front office were never in over their heads, just handed a nearly untenable situation and have found a way to thrive in the adversity!
Bobby Marks @BobbyMarks42
So much for a novice GM in Koby Altman who is “over his head” with this job.
What your friend has done is impressive, but I’d roll the dice if you can get Jordan or Gasol while dumping Thompson. The nets have zero reason to tank and that pick could easily be 8-10th. How are the Knicks feeling with the current 8th overall pick?
You only have so many years left of Lebron. Still the best player in the world. Maximize your chance at a title.
He's entering the final stage of his career and he wants rings. He may not get any with Golden State still dominating, but Lebron, Harden and Paul could give them a run for their money.
LeBron would be an idiot if he went to the West. Â

Exactly. He hasn't made a single move in his career that would make anyone think rings aren't a priority.
Maggie Gray and Bart Scott have both said that the Cavs had to part with the Brooklyn pick.
Did they or didnt they trade that pick?
No Brooklyn pick.
Listening to these 3 clowns talk NBA is embarrassing. Here some gems from listening last 10 mins
- Bart Scott wondering why no one wants Isiah Thomas...
- Maggie Gray complimenting Masai Ujiri on the Denver trade. Masaii hasn’t worked in Denver in years...
- Maggie Gray complimenting the Cavs on moving the BK pick for Clarkson/ Nance because they are under 25. Didn’t move the BK pick though...
There was more too. How are these 3 the best WFAN could find? They don’t even have basic NBA knowledge.

Bart Scott is on record as saying he knows nothing about baseball and can only name like 5 guys.
Not sure it can get any worse but it will. I love how he claimed he was a big NBA. Just listening to him speak for the last 10 minutes I can tell he doesn’t watch the nba.
The Fan should have just paid Mike whatever he wanted. This show is a complete disaster.
Blah, I don’t believe for one sec. George is staying in OKC
got athleticism and bigger more nimble PG- nicely done.

Why?
I still don't think their pick is 2 - 5 but I don't know they'll be better after it. Expect nothing from IT.

They have the Nets pick, which will be lucky to be a top 5.
stop b$tching now lebron and go play some defense.
Will they go all in and trade the BK pick for Deandre Jordan? Is Gasol available ?

Sacremento got Joe Johnson, not Cleveland. Crowder/Rose to Utah in that deal

Wade back to Miami? Thomas a Laker? Crowder & Rose to Sactown? Hill, Nance, Hood, & Clarkson all headed to Cleveland?
JFC. Cleveland just totally revamped their roster in like 30 minutes. These guys are going to need a night out to introduce themselves to one another.
I just heard the Cavs are not done, that pick could be in play for the right player, trying to coerce Memphis possibly.
It couldn't continue the way it was going, the situation was untenable.
Pretty impressive by Altman. They still likely don't beat GS but they should probably be the favorites against Boston again.

Kyle, agree re. the situation being untenable. If they didn't make some serious moves, I doubt they'd even make ECF.
I'm curious if Celts make a move, specifically for Evans.
And they will have plenty of cap to build a great bench and the option to keep Julius Randle if they wanted too.
They got more athletic, added shooting, and improved their defense. And seemingly improved the locker room.
They've got a chance now.

That team doesnt win even one game against the Warriors

Should have known. Show is terrible.
