Depending on what they do with Eli and how much money Giants have -- imo two players that won't break the bank though will have to pay decent to high- that are positions of need -

Get the Linebacker from Tennessee Avery Williamson. He can play both run and pass and is a solid player.

and get the OLineman from Pittsburgh - Chris Hubbard. Hubbard can play all positions across the OL but he's natural as an OT. May not be a LT but at least he's a probable quality step-right in RT that can alos play g and c.
Like Williamson also

He would be my number 1 target.

I remember like 10 years ago NFL free agency started March 1st. But it has changed to mid-March. Anyone know why?
They pushed the draft back too.

Belichick said he needed more time since he is usually coaching into February...
Avery Williamson

or Nigel Bradham should be added to the defense.
As for less expensive offensive line options

Here are a few:
Chris Hubbard OT Pittsburgh - Former UDFA who started 10 games at RT for the Steelers last season. He can also play guard so he would be a very valuable backup if he loses the RT job to Flowers. Hubbard is only 27 and he could just need an opportunity which he will have in NY at both RT and G.

Jack Mewhort, G Colts: Only 27 and talented but oft-injured. If he was willing to sign a prove it deal or a short term deal loaded with playing time incentives then he should be a target for the Giants. He has played very well when healthy but he missed 11 games last season. Can also play center and he was a RT in college.

Michael Schofield OT Chargers: Former 3rd round pick that started 29 games for the Broncos and has played every position but center. He would be a valuable backup with the potential to start. He started 5 games for the Chargers last season and reportedly played well. Still only 27.

Josh Kline G Tenn: Former Patriot that has developed into a very good guard for the Titans. Just 28, Kline has developed into a starter for the Titans that is very good in pass protection.

Zach Fulton G Chiefs: He should be one of the Giants top targets in FA. Fulton is only 26 and he has started at both guard and center for the Chiefs. He never played center before last season but stepped in for the injured Mitch Morse and he played extremely well. He has started 46 games so far for the Chiefs, mostly at guard, and he has played very well. He could just be breaking out and would be an inexpensive but good young player to add to the line. This could be a Shaun O'Hara type of signing.

Joe Berger G/C Minn: Shurmur will know him well and I expect the Giants to explore adding the 36 year old Berger on a 1 year deal. Berger played surprisingly well for the Vikings last season and he would provide competition for Jones at center.

Jonathan Cooper G Cowboys: Cooper was known as a huge bust after being a top 10 pick by Arizona. He signed a 1 year deal with Dallas last year and he had the best season of his career. Was it a fluke or a sign of things to come? He would be worth a gamble at LG at the right price.

John Sullivan C Rams: Sullivan was thought to be close to the end but he played very well for the Rams. He is 33 and could be a solid 1 year option to compete with Jones.
