Saw this on Twitter so figured I'd pass along.
Percentage of runs that went for negative yardage over the last two years:
Barkley 16.2% - 260 yards
Guice 8.6% - 70 yards
Penny 8% - 88 yards
Jones 7.8% - 76 yards
Michel 7.1% -44 yards
It was also noted that Barkley's positive runs came out to 7.4 ypc.
He lost 1,114 yards through the course of his career.
I think most would agree he was still pretty good in spite of that...

Wow, that's crazy.
Which is why I think he's best made for a gap scheme as opposed to a zone scheme. Give him defined reads and if the initial read isn't there he has the ability to improvise.
I think you'd be looking at a lot more negative runs if he was in a zone scheme.
If D's read that quickly they shot gaps before the blocking could set up; he'd easily lose 4-7 yards.
Where did I hate on Barkley? I even pointed out how is positive runs came out to 7.4 ypc which is absurd.
I never even said it was a bad thing. I can't post interesting stats I find without it being part of a narrative?

why do you hate Barkley so much? You seem to be on a mission to prove he isnt worth drafting?

Nope. You can’t. Its against the rules.
