Oh I agree. They've been doing this all year long. They've been giving us lip service. Talking about a youth movement and playing the young guys. So far it's been all bs.
Need to get rid of Hornacek. I wish the reporters would just come out and ask him what he's actually doing.

He did it with burke and Frank also, talked up the pairing and we never saw it again..
I know he’s young but man will he need a massive improvement to become a starting PG. How could you pass on DSJ and Mitchell for this guy? Frank flashes nothing on offense....
when the young guys don't do anything to show promise for the future... The kicker being that they really weren't given much of a chance to do anything tonight... I guess the silver lining is that they lost... yay!
I’m sorry as much as I would love Hornacek to start and play Frank as much as possible, he just played 21 minutes and didn’t score or assist. That’s awful. Hornacek clearly isn’t a good coach but that’s on the player.
Covington and McConnell were scrap heap guys who Brett Brown has delevoped into solid pieces. A good coaching staff could do the same for Frank, Mudiay, Baker, etc., but we're stuck with a bunch of village idiots.
Will have to be a 2 guard. He has such a bad handle, how could he have ever been considered a future NBA PG. he should spend the whole summer in the weight room and hoisting 3’s, there is no chance he can play pg in the nba with a handle like that. He is starting to remind me of a less athletic Iman Shumpert. Hopefully he can develop the outside shot that shump never has developed. If he can become a 3-D guy it will be fine, again not ideal for a lottery pick when Mitchell was there, but it’s over and we have to focus on what Franks role will be in the future if this team.
Let's face it, our young players aren't very good, that's why they are Â
not playing. But that's fine, we want to tank anyway, let them sink or swim.
Hardaway is hard to root for, how Mills was allowed to sign him is just comical.
Mudiay doesn't seem to have any burst or creativity with the ball, he just relies on size to get into the paint. Granted I've only watched him briefly thus far, but he was having trouble even bringing the ball up against TJ McConnell.

Sadly I think you are right. I just can’t imagine his ball handling improving that significantly to become even an average starting NBA pg.
Hardaway is hard watch. He’s an overpaid version of Nick Young/ JR Smith. No defense/ low iq gunner. You don’t overpay for guys like that.

Knicks have plenty of young guys to play, they have one of the youngest team's in the nba, hornacek just refuses to play them...
As for mudiay the offense is awful, the point guard brings the ball up passes to one side and then basically goes and stands in the corner...
The centers are at the top of the key trying to run the offense...
Last night he played on instinct ran pick and rolls and had 10 assists, tonight they ran more offense and barely ran any pick and rolls...
Need a good lottery pick this year and next year.... Â
interested to look at Perry's track record. At this rate, they're probably picking from 7-10. With our luck, they'll probably draft Wendall Carter or Mikal Bridges.
Kevin Knox is probably the most promising player in that range.

This. While we're all glad the triangle is gone, this O system is not much better. Like you said, just playing pick and roll last night Mudiay was much more effective.
Yeah, we've already won too many games for a top five pick Â
unless the ping pong balls miraculously bounce our way. We're hoping to find a good role player at this point. Knox, Sexton or either Bridges would help, but probably not move the needle too much.
Lance just needs to get warmed up. You just wait for the Lance Thomas show! Fuck Hornacek.
Starting Lance helps with the tank.
Quote:
Simmons 2 for 2 with a dunk
Starting Lance helps with the tank.
You still have young guys who should play..
Hornacek didn't play lance to help the tabk, he played lance because he thought he could help, that is the problem

I'm just kidding, but it still helps with the tank.
Shrugs.
They take after their best player Joel embiid
Of course barely have seen him and mudiay together
That's not his handle... that's just fucking laziness. A high school kid could pick those passes off.
Keep this guy in the starting lineup.
Give me Burke.
Give me Burke.
There's a reason he was traded for Doug McDermott. His jump shot is broken.
He is about to take out mudiay to play jack, guaranteed...
His offense is moronic, it is stagnant because it is constantly in the hands of the big man at the top of the key...
It is awful
5 minutes? Called it earlier this coach talks out of his ass...can we fire this. Um already?
This Sixers team is easy to root against
It is hornacek offense and no point guard
Lmao.
16 minutes. 0-0-0 with two turnovers.
Wait....don't mess up the tank. Fire Hornacek after the season.
He needs time in the development league to get his confidence back.

I know but I can't look at his face anymorr...
Yeaterday: he says he is excited to play mudiay and Frank together going forward...
Tonight: they play 5 minutes together
Mudiay wasn't exactly lighting it up out there either.

Agreed but my point was hornacek talks out of his ass..
He talks about development and jack plays 18 minutes tonight...
It is just a joke, that 18 minutes could of went to burke at least
Need to get rid of Hornacek. I wish the reporters would just come out and ask him what he's actually doing.

Jack stumbles over himself up and down the court, stays in, hits 1 shot then gets an extra couple of minutes...
Hardaway basically chucked up and down the court never was taken out...
How are guys supposed how to play through mistakes when they are never given a chance to?

0 for 14 in the lottery since Ewing. Cumulatively they’ve moved back 11 slots vs. a non-lottery draft system.
