Have vacation in June - looking for beach destination - Zika free areas. Something that would be good for a 3 year old as well. BBI is better than tripadvisor. So what do you guys recommend?
We are going to the Hard Rock in Punta Cana. We usually do HR in Hollywood for a week while visiting friends. This looks like it blows FtL out of the water and is all inclusive. $4800 for all 4 of us for 6 nights, including airfare. Im pretty pumped up for it.
One of the biggest casinos in the Caribbean, excellent restaurants, great spa and gym, top shelf liquor, 24/7 room service included...Really has everything you need, and tends to have great deals with $ resort credits to use for spa, gym etc
I believe in Ocho Rios. Don't worry you will be safe.
also banana bread, Royal Jamacian cigars, Rum, Jerk Chicken, Blue mountain coffee. The all inclusives which this particular resort is is like being on a cruise on land with plenty of water sports and activities.
Just my two cents
Ugly island, no snorkeling/diving. No downtown area, windy to a fault.
The food is great, and the people are very friendly, but I found it a huge snoozefest.
beaches are nice. Plenty of nice hotels, people are very friendly. Incredibly safe so you arent stuck at your resort the entire time. I'd go tomorrow if I could
With our little ones. They have both a kids club for our older one and a little kids club for our two year old so we can have a break. Have only heard great things about the resort and staff
Wife and I want to go out there for 10 days in the summer, was thinking Oahu/ Maui split. Seems like hotels really fluctuate in price out there
I'd recommend spending most of your time on Maui. You can get away with just 2-3 days on Oahu, or even just a day trip depending on what your are looking to do there.

Ixtapa ? You can see Scarface, the live show.
I would be hesitant to bring a 3 year old on flight to hawaii Â
from D.C (I'm assuming). That's going to be an entire day of travel. I personally wouldn't worry about Zika, My wife and I went on our honeymoon in late September to Curacao and mosquitoes weren't an issue anywhere (Granted the ABC islands are all arid). It was a 4 hour flight, and even though you need to go through customs, depending on the time of year your going it doesn't take very long to get through. The Caribbean is loaded with excellent beachs, really it all depends on what your looking for amenities wise, but I'd lean that way if traveling with a young child.
Been trying to add-on for a couple years now..

Otherwise, in June I would think that the southern US would have nice beaches. And, Bermuda has always been safe.

But, the Zika outbreak is waning so, so long as you’re moderately careful, you might be okay in expanding your search.

My wife and her best friend are travelling there for a belated 40th birthday trip in a couple of weeks....
Safe, etc....?
How is Turks & Caicos after the hurricane? Heard it got slammed.

One of the nicest places one earth...
