First, anyone know when Yahoo will open the 2018 league page? I keep hearing they are struggling with how to handle 2 way player Shohei Ohtani

Second, in a bit of a situation with keepers. currently league has 2 keepers. I have both Trea turner (14th) and Cody Bellinger (15th) as my presumed picks however I had the number 1 overall pick last year and drafted Trout.

Should I keep Trout and lose my 1st pick this year while keeping 1 of the other 2 or just stay with the plan?

:)

What pick in the first

Round do you have assuming you don’t keep trout?

and does the draft pick cost change?
Yahoo opens the 15th

Seems a bit late but there you have it.
Keep Turner & Bellinger

at those values.

Keeper help for a 12 team points league, we can keep one player...keep Yelich in the 7th, Paxton in the 8th, or either Berrios or Godley in the 22nd. What do you think?

Gotcha. I’d lean toward keeping Trout and Turner. Bellinger has bigtime upside, but it’s a little bit easier to find power later than it is to find the mix of steals, runs, and hopefully AVG that TT provides (with a little sprinkle of power in there as well).
By the way

You should propose a change to your league whereby you find out draft slots a few weeks before the draft, at least.

Having it be an on-the-spot process flies in the face of the preparation, analysis, planning that ought to be rewarded, especially in a keeper league.
I would keep Trout if you still get a first round pick

then keep Turner.

I agree change the rule learn your draft order before the draft day.

Thanks guys, answering everyone’s questions with 1 reply.

YAJ, 2 years and this will be Turners second year.

Briteside (great killers reference) , Paxton will be an absolute stud this year same with Godley

Bigluehoya, already have tried… the commish likes to keep the less active players interested.

Superspy, No keeping Trout means losing the first pick (year I picked him)

I just asked the commish for a poll for adding a 3rd keeper.

As for Otani, Yahoo already decided what to so
rich in DC : 2/13/2018 1:47 pm : link
If you want Otani, the batter, you will have to draft him as a position player. If you want Otani, the pitcher, you have to draft him separately.

In other words, if you want both sides of Otani, you are going to have to use TWO draft picks to get him- because he will be listed twice- as a P and as an OF (most likely).
I'd go Trout/Turner then

If you got to keep them a lot longer, I'd consider Bellinger over Trout for the long term value of the lower pick.
