I know you had a thread months ago where you had Rosen at 1 and Mayfield at 2. Just curious to see if you have an updated list or if you are holding off until after the combine and Pro days.
There isn't much that changes with some positions between now and then, I have a strong idea who will finish where in terms of ranks...but I do always say things can change a little between now and then.
I think Tier 1 is:
Rosen
Mayfield
Darnold
They are very close to each other, each have incredibly strong risks. Rosen and his ability to hold up...also his accuracy throw to throw is very inconsistent. Darnold hasn't grown up yet (on the field). Just a lot of silly mistakes, poor decisions. Mayfield was somewhat a product of the OU system. This is a scary QB group and I don't see "special" or "elite" in any of them.
I don't see the accuracy issues you mention with Rosen. Granted, I'm watching highlights, but many of the throws are from the same game, and then they move on to the next game and show more and so on. Obviously they wouldn't show the throws where he's off, but he actually looks extremely accurate to me. I understand the concerns about his durability, but what are you basing your accuracy assessment of Rosen on?
Just a suggestion because I did the same with Jackson. Go to YouTube and try to find a complete game for the guy you are interested in and watch it through. Just skip the defensive plays. Works well for RBs also.
You are correct that highlight videos are "The Best of XXXX".

On a 1-15..I have Rosen at an 11 for accuracy. Darnold is 13 for comparison. Goff was 13...Wentz was 13.
I'm sure BBI is tired of me beating the drum for Mike White out of Western KY, but I am curious as to your impressions of him.
I generally agree with you. This QB class does not have the "special" prospect that we have seen in past drafts or we all expected to see. What it has is a lot of good prospects who could develop. My uniformed naked eye doesn't see all that much difference between the top tier and the next level down.

Sy, would it be fair to say that of the 3, if Darnold was to sit for a year behind Eli, that he may end up having the least "risk" involved, or are his flaws something you fear aren't something you could rectify?
My biggest fear with him (and he's still my favorite of the QB class) is his throwing motion. To me, many of his fumbles seemed to be a result of his wonky throwing motion. Is that something that could feasibly be changed at the pro level without affecting his throwing ability (accuracy, strength, etc..)?

(Assuming no health issues.) Thanks.
