NFL Franchise Rankings: Agree/Disagree?

Rover : 2/15/2018 11:23 am
The NFL is the only sport where it really isn't clear if we count pre-Super Bowl champions at all, the same, or less.

I'm curious what % of women 32-36 agree with the rankings
Oakland and Denver ahead of the NYG?

I don't know how you disagree

This ranking is based on facts and math. It is what it is. Like W-L records, you are what your record says you are.
Without bias, in the years they are ranking these, how does it not

make sense? The justification of total number of playoff years shows major success gaps with the organization. If you look it's really 2 runs of sustained winning. Mid 80's to 90. and '05-11.
The NFL..

is the only sport that has a Super Bowl, so it would reason that it is the only sport having this dilemma. The breakdown is

Leagues that have a Super Bowl:
NFL 100%
All others 0%

Although the Fairmont Shopping Center has a Souper Bowl, but I don't think they debate wins. Just the quality of the Bisque.
Good as system as any

Exposes our inconsistency in the SB era. A mere 15 playoff appearances. If you remove the expansion teams, we are in the lower third of the league in that regard. Granted the 60s and 70s were mighty lean years but still.

22 playoff seasons each for them vs 15 for us. Absolutely
playoff appearances should carry weight

but a super bowl WIN trumps everything. Once again, ask any Vikings, Bills or even Dolphins fan if they trade 10 of those lovely playoff appearances for just one super bowl title. I don't know one Dolphins fan that is old enough to appreciate 17-0. Not one. I know about 4 that would trade trade their wife, mother and child plus playoff history for super bowl 42 or 46.

These lists are garbage. Dallas fan...living in the 70s. Surprise.
I would implement an automatic

minus 97 points if a team has multiple cheating scandals during the duration of their only successful stretch as a franchise.
