NFT: Golf trip

Need a vacation and was looking at doing a gold trip with a couple buddies somewhere along the east coast in late march time frame. Any suggestions for nice (lower cost) resorts that are good for a weekend trip with some pals? Myrtle? Hilton Head?

We tied it in with a game in tuscaloosa so not sure B'ham is what you are looking to do for a weekend but very nice courses and rather cheap. Worked directly with RTJ on the agenda/costs.

has some great courses and off season rates are low- can even rent a home rather than a resort.

Great restaurants, gold and beach.
Playing Caledonia in about 75 days

Just call Brian at the website below. Myrtle is super easy on the east coast. We have booked our trip through him for 18 years now. Flight options are getting better there too.

lots of good courses and hotel/condo rentals---courses are much less crowded than Myrtle Beach, but Myrtle Beach has a lot more nightlife

Ocean course is incredible and others are really good. Can also go out in Charleston.
Thank you all

Kiawah courses are outstanding. The Andell Inn gets you close to the Links. The Stono Ferry Course is just a little farther south of there, and that is also a beautiful area. There's not much else for the men-folk to do out there without a 40 minute drive into downtown. Folly Beach might be an alternative, with a Key West vibe.

You could look into the Mt Pleasant side, where you'd be much closer to Downtown Charleston -- Dunes West, or Charleston National for example. There are some great restaurants on that side. Your accommodations may be cheaper that time of year too.

I believe United still runs a direct flight from EWK to CHS.

Orlando. Great place. 27 holes on the one side 18 more on the new course. Nicholas designed. Beautiful accommodations.

Try St. Augustine in Florida. Great deals there.
Second Brian Noblin, who is recommended above by Scully.

He's great. There are 100 golf courses in Myrtle. Brian will get some info from you on the calber of golfers going, and your budget and suggest courses for you. One tip, it's good to play venues that have multiple courses. If you're up for it, you can get reduced replay rates on their other courses if you feel like playing more than 18 on a given day. Ask Brian about which places have multiple courses.
legends has a deal

we've done a couple times now. 4 rounds for the price of 3 (or 5 for 4). Free breakfast, lunch and 2 beers per round of golf. They have 3 nice courses on site with 2 others they are affiliated with - Heritage GC, and Oyster Bay. Those two are some of my favorites down there.

I also recommend Brian Noblin. Pretty sure he can get you in the Legends package if that's what you want.

Have a great trip!
