It’s almost like he sees something different than most scouts. He was gushing over him at the Senior Bowl while most everything I read among the scouting community was contradicting what he saw.

He isn't perfect but he is the best draft guru on tv. He once had Gabbert ahead of Cam Newton.

No I agree. I think he’s excellent. I was just pointing out that his love for Allen is consistent.

He also had Mark Sanchez as the #1 QB in 2009. Over Stafford. Manziel over Carr.
Everyone makes mistakes but when Mayock goes out on a limb and disagrees with the consensus, he is often very very wrong.

This WR class is better than BBI thinks it is... you aren't the only poster I've seen diss this class this past week... It doesn't have the star power/top tier/elite level guys but there is some really good talent at WR in this class. Better than last years class for sure.
Billy Price 5th Interior OL behind Hernandez and James Daniels?? I would put him #2 after Nelson just a hair ahead of Wynn and Smith.
And McGlinchey at the top of the OT group was another surprise.
Personally I don’t think it’s a surprise. He was a consensus top 10 pick during the season then started getting knocked unnecessarily in my opinion. He may not “wow” you with anything but I think he’s gonna be a good pro for a long time.

Yeah, it's probably just a personal bias. In my mind I see McGlinchey dropping to the bottom or round one and Connor Williams working his way into the top ten. I could be overrating Williams, however. This draft is even worse at left tackle than last year's draft.
I don't quite get the negatively about the top wide receivers. Ridley and Kirk are both going to be big time players IMO. They both suffered from really bad QB play.
He has Rosen compared to Trent Green, Darnold compared to Luck and Barkley compared to Barry Sanders.
So why should we draft Rosen again? This guy has more red flags than a car race.
As I've always stated if its not Barkley it should be Darnold and no one else.
Have you looked at Darnold's Interception record? All the Rosen haters mention his physical problems but no one mentions Darnold's interception record.

He has 2 more INTs than Rosen. I can tell you Rosen has some more that definitely should have been INTs and I'm sure Darnold probably has some as well. But you have to analyze how the INTs happened. You can't just look at the number. Once you look at the plays, you aren't as concerned about the INTs with Darnold.
I will say this, what Darnold was able to do behind that sieve of an OL this year is a miracle. Even the Ohio State game, I've seen plenty of posters criticize him and say how bad he played. If you saw the duress he was under on every drop back...the guy played HEROICALLY. That is not an understatement. I get that they weren't really able to put up points, but it's not for a lack of Darnold's effort. His OL was absolutely dominated from start to finish.
He said both Andre Williams and adrien Robinson would be good players too

For all the Reese Ross fans have they found a job yet media clueless on that

What the hell are you rambling about? You read that list and came away with the idea that he loves northeastern players and discounts SEC players? You may want to take your meds and go back and read that list again
if we go for a QB at #2, Better we trade down for picks, improve the OL and iake a shot with ELI on an improved team. 11 and 5 two years ago and with a good defense and very talented offense if healthy, we can compete next year.

You are an excellent writer. Have you ever considered doing it professionally? Also, who is Reese Ross? He(?) sounds interesting.
I don't quite get the negatively about the top wide receivers. Ridley and Kirk are both going to be big time players IMO. They both suffered from really bad QB play.
Ridley was criminally underused because of the combination of Jalen Hurts and Saban.
If you draft DJ Moore, you are essentially getting a bigger, better version of Randall Cobb. His numbers with 3rd and 4th-string QB play are ridiculous.
He isn't perfect but he is the best draft guru on tv. He once had Gabbert ahead of Cam Newton.
I kid because I care.

Sam Darnold is 4 months younger than Josh Rosen. Rosen turned 21 on Saturday.

about Darnold and how he is only 20 and will be such a different player in 2-3 years.

Do we know how many of his teammates attended his 21st birthday party?

Fantastic. Mayock will be thrilled to hear this.

He's not the best OL in his team though. I think that's clear.
The negativity surrounding Bolles and Ramczyk in particular last year as prospects were unfounded, they've proved that already.

Darnold and Rosen are listed at such close heights/weights and Darnold looks the part but, to me, Rosen looks like he barely cracks 200 lbs.
