Thoughts on QB Mike White, Western Kentucky?

robbieballs2003 : 2/18/2018 10:22 am
I am getting around to checking out some prospects and I saw his name. Why is he not up there with the other group of 1st round QBs with question marks? I am not saying he should. I am just looking for more clarification on him. He sounds very intriguing as a prospect.

Here is an interview of him at the Senior Bowl:

Highlights from the last 2 years:

Quote:
White was the starting quarterback for the Hilltoppers for two seasons, during which he completed 66 percent of his passes for 8,540 yards, 63 touchdowns and just 15 interceptions.

That’s more passing yards over the past two seasons than Jackson (7,203) and just a tick below Mayfield (8,592).

Western Kentucky?
I don't think I have ever seen a football game with that school.
Watching him in the senior bowl game

Reminded me of Davis Webb.
He is a very good prospect

who will rise during the combine drills. Someone will get a good value in the second round where he will be drafted. He would be a first round prospect in a lot of years but not this one with all the great prospects in front of him. I like him more than the kid from Richmond. I could see New England drafting him in the second round.
Interesting prospect

He has good accuracy, sufficient arm strength and makes good decisions. However, he hasn't needed to go through progressions at Western Kentucky and he takes a ton of sacks because he holds onto the ball too long and he isn't mobile at all. He's similar to Nick Foles with slightly less arm strength.
Bring him in as a street FA and see what he's got.

He will be drafted. Most likely in the 3-5 round range.
Don't know about White, however

I saw in a bowl game a true freshman QB that played very well. Anyone know his name or school?

I'm sure he will go in the top 5 of the 2020 NFL draft. I would hope the Giants aren't picking there again, so he won't be a realistic option unless you want to give up your entire draft in 2020 and first rounder in 2021.
