OBJ is coming off a significant injury and is entering his contract year.
Broken ankle is not a significant injury in reality. Torn ligaments, yes. Torn achilles, yes. Broken ankle - meh. He's running already. They wouldn't let him touch that Super Bowl commercial if it was significant.
Contract year is more significant, but any team willing to trade 7 picks for 1 player is willing to cough up big bucks.
no damage to knee and no break in the foot, it wasn't spinal, and he didn't tear anything. He's been working out for a while and running, I'd be pretty surprised if he's not right back to where he was pre-injury.
Indy, Denver, JETS, thinking hard about it; obviously Cleveland, and the Jets have the 6,37,49 in rounds 1+2 and like Cleveland can buy lots of players with their cap room(77Million), and both could afford him.
And their GMs would be killed, literally.
But hey! YKW won SB 52 so anything can happen!
because you can only really count on round 1 and round 2 with round 3 beginning to get dicey (with the bust/non-starter rate). If a team would give 1,2,3 this year and 1,2,3 next then we can start talking.
I'd more be after several years worth of picks. I couldn't give an exact number, but say CLE's next 3 1sts / 2nds maybe 3rds, AND this years 3-4 for example. I have no idea what the point value is but IMO if I'm giving up years of likely #1-5 level play at a position if not league, I'm need longevity not just qty
But given the small likelihood of such a haul and OBJ's proven value (even after this injury - not a joint, much more likely to come back 100%), I'm not really thinking of trading this man
this is only even 'possible' in my view if you're at the full rebuild / restart spot, which given a new GM, HC, staff etc, we are. So this would be the only time if ever. A team that's in the playoff hunt if not a legit contender is even less likely
There are always exceptions, but for example PIT trading AB or LB (LB's hints of leaving being the only decent exception fwiw)...generally not a smart move IMO
I would bet the average fan that goes on about Odell's antics is 70 Â
years old. I think he comes off as a moron often, but your sanctimonious outrage and preference for a weaker team because back in 1942 players were robots makes me wonder about your priorities.
I would do it in a heart beat. Look what that did for dallas, 3 super bowls in a small window. I'd take it.
I'd probably do it for the 1st and 4th pick TBH.
1. Darnold
2. Barkley
4. Nelson

Posts like this are incredible to me.
You'd think this guy has committed 5 felonies already and been a major lockerroom problem.
Good lord. Enough.

As a wise Ted Dibiase once said, "everyone's got a price."
But no one is offering their entire draft for Beckham, so there's really not much point in discussing it.
That deal isn't really that awesome.
LOL. It's a nice board, made of metal and plastic.
