that wants to see Kirk Cousins go to the Jets and not mean it in a mean or bad way.
There qb situation since Sanchez has been horrible. They have no idea how to draft a qb. They use old stop gaps like McCown (who was good for a year) but not long term ready.
Cousins while not a top 5 is a very solid qb who can win you games just not the huge ones (but neither did Alex Smith and people love him). They have the money to spend and a top 6 draft pick that can get you some play makers. They have young wrs in Robbie Anderson and Jermaine Kearse and Quincy Enuwa that would be good with Cousins. You can add a good rb in rd 2-3 and go Def OR Quinten Nelson in rd 1 to help that oline. Plus with 77 mil in cap space you can add a FA oline like G Sitton, RT Fleming, LT Solder.
Cousins is a solid leader and would do well in NY.
Having said that he prob wont sign with them.
The other era, the Rex Ryan era, rooted with a passion against home for obvious reason
Don t consider Jets a rival, and find myself rooting for them during some games Also like Todd Bowles and McGowan
Looking at it pragmatically, I think Cousins makes the Jets better. So I'd prefer he NOT become a Jet.
If he does, I won't care.
shouldn't you prefer that AFC teams become stronger at the expense of NFC teams?
Exactly. Jets should roll the dice on a rookie QB that they may have as the face of the franchise for many years.
uh, yes he is. he's the definiton of average.

Not Average by any definition.
- Career record of 26-30-1
- 15th in INT %
- 13th in YPA last year
- 17th in QBR
Similar distribution the previous year.

in other words (word): Average
In ‘17 Cousins started all 16. He went 7-9. 64.3% 4093 yards, 27-12, 7.6, 93.9.
Meanwhile the true franchise QB at Met Life last season started 13 games. He was 5-8 before he injured his elbow. 67.3, 2926, 18-9, 7.4, 94.5.
McCown’s base salary was 6 million with 200K added for each game he started. His line was questionable. Backs that weren’t any better than the Giants had. A blossoming deep threat in Anderson and everybody else pretty much 8-Ball In The Side Pocket ability .
How much are the Jets going to gain for that extra 24 million that they would be coughing up for Cousins? And he will probably get it because Elway is sure to get in on the bidding in a big way.
This is something that people in the NFL grapple with. They don’t understand how the dunk pass has muddied passing statistics , at the expense of the running game. How good is Cousins? John Elway should look at his own career numbers and ask himself, “Was I better than that guy?” The answer is , of course, you were . But they get swept up in these system -scrubbed stats. True value becomes difficult to assess. Regardless of what you think of him, Cousins isn’t worth 30M to play in ‘18. He’s resilient . He’s competitive . He willl take s hit to complete the play, giving his receiver a chance to get open . But he’s not a great player . And, at, 30 , he is not all that young , either . Caveat emptor for the Jets. And I’m glad the Giants will be able to select one of the kids.

Fair. lol
I should say a DEGREE of pragmatic. Absolutely would prefer an AFC team NOT named the Jets. Can't ever enjoy them getting better. And with him? Yeah ...
