The one thing we cannot do is miss regardless of position. This player needs to be a hit. Odds are we do not bring Pugh back. Flowers doesn't look like he will be here long term. Neither does Apple. That is horrendous.

I'd love to have Saquon Barkley on the team. He will help this team right from the day he is drafted. Not only is he a great player, he is also a great presence and a culture-changer.
He will be an easy guy to root for and there would be a lot of jealous fans from other teams (especially the Eagles fan-base as they love Barkley over there)
Any QB you pick at #2 will only be as good as his OL. Eli is going to play for another 1-2 years, so what exactly is your point? The Giants will definitely upgrade the OL in that period. We already know that Gettleman doesn't see the status quo as viable, so OL changes will happen.
Behind a decent (it doesn't have to be great) OL I see Barkley as having a far more likely impact than a Rosen or Darnold. Barkely is so far ahead of his peers it's really not a comparison except for those who look at numbers in a vacuum. Just not seeing the over the top value in those two QBs that everyone else seems to see. Teams will game plan for Barkley. Do you see them scratching their heads over Rosen or Darnold considering all the other comparable QBs they play? My eyes don't see it. BTW, has anyone whose opinion you respect called Rosen or Darnold "generational"? Fairly common term used when describing Barkley.
The only pick I like at 2 is Baker Mayfield if we stay there
And he looked really good in those 4 games!
Doubtful.

Everybody else at the top of the board is good, but not like those two.

And then we take Darnold at #2 and don't look back
I also feel this way
The only pick I like at 2 is Baker Mayfield if we stay there
Not even close

+1 Running back is better. Trade down 6-8 spots, pick up a first next year, give the Golden Arm from Cal a shot in a couple of years.

Is LSU your alma mater? I thought so. And I love liverwurst too.
