Dan will love to hear Alfonso dropped an easy one for a run. Wont be scored an error since its soring, but very very sloppy
Weird thing is his rep at Florida was "solid" at 1b. I know he's bulked up but still. Awful 1b play = not an MLB player in today's game. Love his swing, would be a bummer if he can't figure it out.

Jose Altuve, AL MVP, on Syndergaards 92-mph changeup that whiffed him. If he throws that changeup to me 100 times, hes going to strike me out 100 times. #mets
if you haven't seen this search for it on twitter, it's all over the place, nasty.
Thor hitting 101 on the gun today asked if he could increase his velocity this spring he replied, good question.

Brian McCann, who managed to fly out on Syndergaards last pitch, a 100-mph fastball: His stuff is as good as it comes in baseball. Hes in that one percent of the league. #mets
Dont watch the highlights somehow watch the first two innings. Thor and Verlander. If you are a diehard fan, this was no ordinary spring training game.
You watched a very special pitch, a vet working on his craft. Topped by a young freak who did things today you could go your entire life and never witness. Thor was that special. Scary.
all dealing with injuries a week into Spring Training. I mean, trying not to overreact but...come the fuck on already.
Hopefully the issues with Cespedes (lower back) and Degrom (shoulder soreness) are just aches and pains of spring training. Not a positive sign, nonetheless. But honestly, with how these guys work out during the off-season, its amazing how they continue to have all of these injuries. Even aches and pains are perplexing.
Never was, hope Im wrong.
Doesnt look serious
But if this team could benefit from guys missing some time, its in the pen. A TON of arms to choose from.
And theyll be using most of them all season anyway. Good time to decide who is ready and who isnt

Swarzak injury is left calf, not hand. He felt something grab while breaking to cover first base.

It's actually a left calf injury for Mets reliever Anthony Swarzak. He'll have an MRI tomorrow, but is not concerned. "I'm walking. I'm standing here right now. I think I'm going to be OK."

Sources: Tim Lincecum is deep into talks with the Texas Rangers on a one-year major league deal, and the expectation is it gets done soon. One possible plan for Lincecum: pitch out of the bullpen. And with the Rangers' closer job wide open, he's got a good shot at securing it.

Then roped a laser beam as hard as a human can hit a ball. Loud out.

This is why I don't bother getting my hopes up - you know where this season is going to go.
