Hopefully our new regime knows what they're doing as it pertains to Richburg because it's really hard to trust the decisions made by the old one. Either way, there's big interest out there for him in FA. Link - ( New Window )
But given what we've seen it's hard to believe we could or would resign him. We know at his best he's a pretty good player. Some other team will and he'll probably revert to his year two form. Just the way it goes.
room...there's been a poor attitude there for years not to mention underachieving, highly drafted players of which Richburg was one.
We will see at least four if not five new starters this year. If we sign Norwell, I see a center and another guard being drafted. Not sure what will happen with Flowers but, unless he performs a miracle, he has played his last game at LT for the Giants.
It will be a new group this year...sayonara Weston! Wherever he goes, he will be vastly overpaid.
He played on a bad team with a bad and predictable scheme, and the oline depth is thin in FA. Better someone else overpays him than us, plus we get a comp pick

Jerry, I like your thinking. Sometimes the only way you
can get rid of a stench is to burn it down. New coaches,
new section of locker room, new assistants, new players,
new attitude. They are part of the offense and they must
be heard and they must listen. Nothing has worked with
the OL since McNally & FA's signed 84 & 85.

Tim Jernigan knows more about quality centers than writers and Internet boards, I think . Is that safe? He said Richburg is one of the strongest centers he’s gone up against . Kind of belies the “movement -finesse “ cliches that get thrown around . Add Parcells and his commentary about the difficulty in finding the complete center, and you see why he’s getting interest .
the 5th time Emlen has posted a link to a ridiculous 247 sports article that he positions as being widely reported.
While I certainly can understand that he has no clue how shitty those articles are, it can just as well come off that he's intentionally linking there.
I mean it's obvious someone is going to gamble on Richburg. Â
Former 2nd round pick who looked good in 2015. It's obvious a few teams would think they could get him back to that 2015 level. Maybe they even succeed. It's just not going to happen here and we have a decent center option in Jones, who has outplayed Richburg.
If we don’t plan on resigning s player - the more his market explodes the better for us and the player.
Unlike Pugh, I think Richburg can significantly improve if he gains strength/weight but there’s also risk that never happens.
I think Flowers will be the only man left next year.
by the way - he started an account here expressly to post his own stories
I don't even blame 247 at this point. It's the posters that not only believe their crap but then link to it.
Amen to that. Though w all these main sites for news going the way of Twitter twats, I guess at least it’s something substantial to read
I wouldn't bring this guy back even if he offered a steep home team discount, which he won't.
Which is A.O.K. with me.
Please, someone clear this guy's locker out ASAP.
