and 1 round earlier Reese traded up to draft Landon Collins. What a idiot huh?
Also feels like a bit revisionist because I clearly recall BBI clamoring for Reese to pick Owa as early as the second round that year. I know I was pretty excited about the pick at the time.

Right after drafting Ereck Flowers with the #9 overall pick. What a genius huh?
the fuck? Really ? Lets break this down
Flowers was a presumed top 10 pick at that time, Giants fans were in love with the signing when it was made. He was a massive Ol from Miami with a mean streak. Every fan was salivating over the pick so dont act like you weren't.
Unfortunately he was forced into starting role in his rookie year out of his natural fucking position. An despite all of this he has showed some improvement over the past season.
Brandon Scherff was the favorite with Beasley as the next choice, both went before flowers. Andrus Peat the next OT taken was moved to LG after his first year so he wasn't the answer. The fuck did you want Reese to draft? Devante Parker / Danny Shelton ?

Na
So the fact that a bunch of Internet nerds loved a player they had no information about vindicates the awful drafting of the previous Giants regime?
I know a lot of people like to shit on guys who didn't succeed as Giants, but he's a young guy who had some stuff to deal with. The Giants couldn't wait for him and let him go. He didn't shoot anybody, he didn't rape anybody, he didn't beat up his wife or girlfriend, he didn't get caught running drugs. He had problems. If he's worked them out enough to try pro football again, good for him.
Between the medical flags and his horrific family story, Odighizuwa was obviously a gamble. He seemed to have a pretty high ceiling for a third-round DE. Of all the draft picks to criticize, I think this one is pretty far down the list.
RE: Owa had personal problems that were never revealed to the public. Â

The connection to his father's crimes was well-known. I'm not sure even he was aware of the long-term effects at the time he was drafted. ESPN pre-draft article from 2015 - ( New Window )

No no no no no no.
It was more than internet nerds. He was a 1st round prospect with questions about his hips. JR took a flyer that he'd be medically fit. He was fit, but did not live up to 1st round hype.

Hold up, Are you implying you were against the pick when it happened. I find that hard to believe lol
Awful drafting huh, awful drafting doesn't get this organization 2 superbowls and I specifically refer to 07
Also you didn't acknowledge a single fucking thing I said, so ill try again. Giants liked 2 players...they weren't available at the pick ....they didn't want to trade down....they took the BPA that suited a need.
If you cant see this then you need to re-evaluate your fanship of the team. Feel free to be a Jets fan if that's more your style

Yet another swing and a miss by Reese/Ross.

Yeah. If Reese/Ross only screwed up *a* 1st round pick, they would both still be here.

I will admit I loved the pick. I actually wanted to take him in round 2 as I thought he was Tuck 2.0. Man was I wrong.

Flowers was I guy I think I bought into once RV leaked he would be a likely consideration
Then today’s discussion would have centered on
Was FLOwers drafted too high for a RT and,
Should Solder be aggressively pursued to replace Pugh?
