Second, he has to be way, way smarter than this. It does look like the girl next to him is cutting up some lines - I doubt he was partaking, but you can't be near something like that when you know cameras are going to be on you constantly.
As for the weed - if it's weed - I'd venture to guess most of these guys do that. I personally don't think any less of him if he does (I'd be a major hypocrite if I did...) but the rules are the rules, and again, he's got to be much smarter than this.
All this does is give people ammo against him. I wouldn't get rid of him because of this or call him a "lowlife," as I think he's doing the same things me and many others were doing at that age, but I can't defend him either. He's been around long enough to know better.
Unless you're with no one but your closest friends and family, you have to be very, very cognizant of what you're doing because EVERYONE has a camera at all times. He obviously wasn't thinking here and does deserve some criticism for it.
