The story is out in the open now. So the question is- what are the consequences?
We are looking at a guy who is asking for a 20 mil a year pay day, saying he wont play a snap in the preseason and on the last year of his contract and coming off a season ending injury. Add to the mix a brand new regime in both administration and coaching. New GM and new HC.
Will the Giants commit to a long term contract on Odell Beckham Jr this offseason or not? If so, at what what cost and will Beckham accept it? if not, what is his response? Would he hold out?
My answer to this question would be - do not resign Beckham. Let him play out the rest of his deal. At its conclusion, tag him and trade him like the Dolphins did with Landry and get what you can on him. Hopefully he comes in and plays and plays well and stays healthy and out of trouble and you recoup some value on him. I would allow him to hold out if he threatens that. He has to come back by a certain point by league rules. Giants hold all the cards.
I would not pay this man anything close to the price he is seeking.

They're going to find out where the video came from, get actual details about what was going on behind closed doors, and then they'll probably tell Beckham to be smarter about who he spends time around and that'll be that.

Assuming the NYG do intend on sitting down with Beckham to discuss behavior, actions, etc, at what point do they get tired of having to sit down with this guy? They seemingly have to discuss shit with him every fucking year.
