NFT: Fantasy Baseball Thread

I had my draft tonight. I was pretty much not prepared for it but I did what I could. It was an in-person off-line draft so the picks were all over the place as opposed to looking at the computer and seeing the next group of ranked players.

It is a 12 team head to head categories league. There are 8 hitting and 8 pitching categories.

Batting: R, H, HR, RBI, SB, K, Ave, OPS
Pitching: IP, W, L, S, K, TB, ERA, WHIP

Positions: C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 OF, 2 U, 4 SP, 2 RP, 2 P, 5 BN, 2 or 3 DL

Bellinger - 1B/OF
Hoskins - 1B/OF
Castro - 2B
Hiura - 2B
Nunez - 2B/3B/SS/OF
Shaw - 3B
Andujar - 3B

My strategy was to go with hitting early. I had pick 12 in a snake draft. The pitching that was available to me early just seemed like better value.

I didn't want to reach for a closer because that is just one category but the closers really started jumping off the board so I just went with RP that have a low WHIP and high K numbers.

I can definitely use another bat. I don't know much about these young kids I drafted other than they were ranked high and have potential. Will they be starting the year in the majors, come up at some point early in the season, or did I just overdraft them? I mean I have been paying attention to Andujar but nothing is set in stone with him. I am talking more about Hiura and Adell.
