During the period beginning at 12 noon, New York time, on March 12th and ending at 3:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 14th, clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with, the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2017 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 14. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 14.
He will gain interest across the league. It would be funny if he ended up with the Patriots.
This Cap Space issue we speak of for the Giants is more a worry to fans than it is to management and ownership. They have ways to make things work and I suspect we will see some of those ways shortly if we have a few guys we are targeting.

spent a #1 and #2 on Pugh and Richburg and we have little to no interest in retaining their services because of the value they have shown while in a Giants uniform.
and Flowers right behind them...
How do you know this? None of us have a clue if the Giants have little to no interest in retaining them. Besides that, wasn’t there an article posted the other day that Richburg has received a ton of interest from other teams?
I’m not debating the disaster that is the OL, just saying that it’s a bit disingenuous to say that these guys are so bad that no one wants them.
I didn't say nobody wants them Shock. Only commented we spent the draft capital, growing/non-growing pains with both, only likely to be left holding the bag on replacing them soon.
I don't know if the Giants are interested, but if they are, they better speak up...
Gotcha. Personally I hope we move on from both but i wouldn’t be surprised to see one of them back, if only because aside from a few guys that teams will be competing against each other for, there isn’t a great crop to replace them this year.
If players verbally agree and then back off they’ll burn bridges. You’ll see some deals announced during this period for sure, and they’re basically done
yes, lets see how much we could possibly invest in an under performing D-line.
"reasonable" price for Suh would eat almost all current cap space, lets be real.
This scares me. I never like to hear the "sure thing, done deal" comments before free agency. Hopefully we get him.
Landy isn't worth his pay. Miami isn't making a mistake letting that go.

But because you can’t sign them until Wednesday afternoon, you don’t really know you have picked someone up, right?

Okay.....thanks. I guess I will pay more attention now.

Probably Sherman signing with the Niners.
But, he has made it to the free agency period. And, as I gather, there's nothing stopping him from going somewhere else and sticking the Saints with $18M in dead cap. His contract has a "no tag" provision.
Until Saints sign him up, an interesting under-the-radar situation.

My sources tell me they are currently negotiating with Norwell but SF is on the other line on Norwell's phone waiting to put in their counter offer. Meanwhile, we're on hold right now with Webb's agent.

Webb as in Davis Webb? Is there a trade about to happen?

released by Baltimore. He'd be a decent veteran safety pickup.
ahhh gotcha.
Wrong again. Just stop already
Many think Andrew Norwell will join the Giants; the 49ers reportedly are trying to prevent that from happening https://t.co/T6Pxn8WdtZ
