It looks like we are getting it. Coaches and Players.
The Coaching Staff has reviewed the players that were on the team last year and made decisions on their value.
They are keeping those they like and letting others walk.
We need to be patient and see what the coaches come up with. So far I cannot find anything I really have a problem with.
And even the people questioning Ogletree...Keenan Robinson, Cassilas, and Kennard wont be back, and look what Kennard just got. You have to imagine they were expecting that and instead got a better play who costs just a bit more.
More and more though after seeing these QB deals, I think we are going QB at 2.
Sexy Moves!
So I'm willing to wait...losing Norwell is a blow but that is way too much money for him. I think getting rid of Richburg was an absolute must, perhaps the same with Pugh although I haven't heard anything about him yet.
Ready to let this play out...see who we draft especially if it is Nelson or Hernandez. I still believe we are on the right track.

I don't know I agree about that. Re-signing guys like Mark Herzlich, John Greco, Jon Halapio, and keeping Eli doesn't suggest house-cleaning.
I think what we do in the first 3 rounds should tell us more. If we draft a QB it's a house cleaning. To me guys like Greco and Halapio are cheap veterans who can actually play a little and my assumption is that they want some veteran leadership around that building after the nonsense that went on last year. The Herzlich signing though, is a complete head scratcher.
Being serious but could Herzlich be a backup long snapper? To me this signing is ST's only. He is not playing in base defense at all...
lol
Who is replacing him? I think comparatively he's pretty cheap in relation to whats available.
Not until DG identifies the correct JAG to overpay for along the OL.
I would gladly trade a Barkley for two starting guards like Hernandez and Smith, and hopefully the Iowa center Daniels
A second tier running back like Penny, etc. Granted they are not barkley or nelson blue chips but would be some great first steps. We just have too many holes to fill and I’m guessing Shurmer can make something special out of Webb.
Agreed.
What can be said about the Giants presently is that , when healthy, they have receivers. And that’s about all they have. It’s anazing how bad this roster got over the years .

Thanks to that jackass Reese!

Thats not a core list that's dreamers list, here is the players deserving a second chance list. Let's start with OBJ, Engram, Shepard, Gallman, Perkins, Webb, Harrison, Tomlinson, Apple, Collins (suspect) and the new guy Ogletree that's all she wrote. That's not even twelve players it's bad folks real bad. The rest need to all be loaded on the shit wagon and sent very far west.
This is my concern. The OL and other parts of the roster are dumpster fires that are going to take at lease a couple of years to fix. I would feel better if they treated this as a raze and rebuild rather than a on-the-fly patch job with Eli.
+1.
1, maybe 2 good players per draft the last 8 years is NOT how you build a team. Neither is 4- 5 jags a draft and buying a D.
I like DGs revised scouting evaluation format, at least the little we know of it.
wouldn't be surprised if NYG picked in the top five for the next few years. i certainly hope i'm wrong... but boy......
i've seen it before. don't count on anything miraculous. if they're smart, this is a long term recovery. i'd prepare yourselves emotionally.

Snacks and Tomlinson are a top 5 pair of DTs and Jackrabbit, Collins, Vernon and Snacks were All Pro 2 years ago. So, no, receivers isn't all they have.

I think razing and rebuilding is exactly what they're doing. We aren't building around Eli, he's the caretaker QB we happen to already have on the roster who might have some juice left in him.
