the Giants don't need the cap space yet, and once they find an upgrade they'll cut him but until then there's no harm to keeping him around right now. It would suck if they cut him only to find out they couldn't find an upgrade and are left with nothing.

Signing was a fricken head scratcher from day one. Wasn’t that the year they needed a lineman, TE & LB (pretty much any year of late I guess ) and instead signed this one dimensional cap wasting injury machine?. Special teams are becoming irrelevant in the NFL and yet Reese gave this guy a ridiculous contract for his level of importance like it was 1996.

He got hurt pretty early on, right? At least before King arrived on the starting scene.
I'd actually like to see them offer DH a pay cut, because I think he can be a very useful player if healthy.
