We have all this free agent news going on and people feel like now is the time to post this stuff. If you're going to be a fake asshat, at least do it during a slow time.
They're not making any major draft trades until draft day.
If you're against people sharing things they hear, the title alone should deter you from clicking. He shouldnt have to divulge his source, and who is Eric to deem it viable even if he does? lol
JonC, I never ever disagree with you. You are a wise football savvy guy. But I don't mind saying, I'd do it! If I get this years two number ones, a number two, a number 3, and a number one of two next year. I'd do it.
Given the fact that the Bills are not even rumored to be looking at FA QBs right now tells me they are taking one in the draft, and are confident they are going to get one of the QBs they like. The Bills are going to trade up and are going to give up a lot to do it.
As I have said the past few days. The Giants are not going to get out of their predicament in FA. They have to draft their way out. They don't have the money for FA and it's a poor way to fix your team anyway. They need more draft picks. Also, if they have pick 12 and 22, they can still move back into the top 10 quite easily.
I think that should do it, but I would also ask for 2020 1st rd to see if they would include.
Still don't feel comfortable moving from #2 to #12, but if we are going to, I'd want all the above back. You would have to get a king's ransom to move back in the Giants current roster and draft position.
How can anyone fall for this shit over and over? A person you trust? You are privy to the inner workings at 1925? Bull and shit. Also no chance this team is trading down until it's their turn to pick.
Love the asshat info, even if sometimes it is not true. I think I am in the minority that I would welcome a big haul to trade down if they are not planning on taking a QB. This team has holes all over the place and only 5 picks as it stands now.

Agreed. As far as the Bills waiting until draft night, the Eagles made a similar trade before the draft even though the Rams were drafting #1 and also needed a QB. My guess is that as Sy said, the Bills want Allen, and are confident the Browns will take either Darnold or Barkley.

if the whole league knows theyre trading the farm to get into the top 5 - why wait?
You want to wait until 30 minutes into the draft to see if your draft strategy goes from "Select our future QB and 3 other guys with the pieces with the few picks remaining" or "Scouting and selecting 5 guys in the top 65 picks" - thats a tectonic shift of strategy and resource allocation.
I would agree today if I were both teams if its a legit offer.
This could just be preliminary talks for a draft day trade! Â

Not suggesting this guy knows what he is talking about, but the Bills can make this trade if they like two of the QBs and are ok with either.

The part about no chance doesn't fit here. If they are 100% in for Eli right now and Webb for future then no worries about #2. I suspect the Giants want to position themselves for a short 2 year window and run at a Championship.
If so, a QB at 2 will not do that for you. YOu fix the Oline, the LB'ers and DB's/WR's.
No. Thurman Thomas. ;-)
If it happens .. I want this years draft and next years from the Bills.
Agreed, but this is what I would want AT A MINIMUM:
#12, #22, second round pick (2018), and
first round pick (2019).
They're not making any major draft trades until draft day.
Best of luck!
We'll see. A haul of picks certainly wouldn't hurt anyone.

I'd totally do it.
OJ would murder records behind our revamped O line.
They apparently like all three of Allen, Rosen, and Darnold. But prefer either Rosen or Allen.
Getting to 2 makes sense.
2018 2nd Rd (Both Picks)
2018 3rd Rd
2019 1st Rd
2019 2nd Rd or 2020 1st Rd
I think that should do it, but I would also ask for 2020 1st rd to see if they would include.

If you make a trade its got to be same day and you make the Bills sweat it out, so you get the best offer you can.

But we are not moving back to 12 on March 14th, IMHO, unless we're getting Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, & Andre Reed, plus 2 #1 draft picks.
Get us multiple players early that can contribute right away.
Agreed, but it is interesting to think about.

Is OJ Simpson in the deal?
No. Thurman Thomas. ;-)
I’ll do it if they throw in Bruce Smith too
I love the idea DG is looking to deal...but dropping to #12 likely takes a lot of the top guys off the table for us

Why would you want Peterman

+1.
AT A MINIMUM.
Aint happening unless it includes at least 1 quality starter as well.

Right you are.
And wouldn't they wait until Rosen and Darnold, particularly Darnold as he didn't throw at the combine, have their pro days before making this deal.
And if we do this we lose out on all QBs, the best RB prospect in a while, the best Guard prospect in a while, a blue chip DE, etc.
