With rumors swirling with the Bills-could Flowers go there?

as part of a trade for our #2? Cutting Flowers doesn't give us any cap space and he just lost his position. We could gain some significant cap space and since Buffalo isn't spending a lot of money on a QB this year, maybe they agree to take him off our hands.

We would use on of the picks on a RT so he wouldn't have a home there either.

Even if he becomes a revelation at RT or G this year, I don't see him being resigned next year.

not necessarily with Buffalo but somewhere. Not sure what we could get in return. You want at least 3 capable tackles on your team so right now he is one along with Solder and Wheeler, think Bisnowaty's future is at OG.

Jamarco Jones would be a nice get in round 2.

be surprised if Flowers or Apple are traded. Their market value is very low, and DG said that everyone has a "clean slate." I do agree that this may well be the last season for both.

The cap savings would only be $2.4M.

He's shown he's not a reliable LT in the NFL, and no one knows for sure if he can play RT or G well. He has more value to the Giants than anyone else, since we don't have to give up assets to get him.

Not asshat information, just some speculation I read. Philly doesn't need a QB, so they don't need a Top 5 pick. They do have Nick Foles on the roster. This would make a package starting with #12 a more realistic possibility. Add to the package, the later Rd 1 pick and one of the 18 & 19 #2 picks and it might be a workable deal. There could be a number of alternatives of what the Eagles would get back between 2018 & 2019.

and no one's seen him at any other position, so I don't see how they can get anything for him at all right now.

If he shines at another position in pre-season, then maybe he's trade bait. But if he shines at another position in pre-season, the Giants would probably be thrilled to keep him.

Perhaps. The main thing that I found interesting is that they don't need a Top 5 pick. That makes the possibility the Bills putting together a viable offer much higher.

Let him compete and fight for a spot on the line. Maybe RG is his spot. Maybe he winds up backing up at both tackle spots. If he can't find a role...cut him loose.

The bounty for moving up is massive. Several picks and probably a 2019 1st or 2nd rounder.

The timing of a trade happening NOW was all the more reason not to believe it? FA just started - teams are building rosters based on who they sign, and will reset their draft boards. Deals for picks in Top 5 happen around the draft - not this far out.

see more value in Flowers. at this time, to let the 9th pick in the draft go for nothing. He will get his shot at at RT and Guard before that happens. If we get Nelson in the draft. Bring it on. This OL could be reborn.
