possible 2nd round target for Giants - Ronnie Harrison

Andy in Boston : 3/16/2018 10:05 am
this guy seems like the real deal based on what I'm reading and what I've watched. Will be curious to see what Sy'56 thinks of him. Safety isn't talked about much of a need for the Giants, but I think we could use another stud to partner with LC. Based on reports of Harrison's athletic ability, speed and fluid hips, one would think he could play CB, which would be a huge plus.

Thoughts?

more of a FS....but they had him play closer to the line of scrimmage in 2017.

awesome at the combine and he flashes whenever I watched them play. Knock on him is IQ and he just flies around sometimes without any direction.
Justin Reid from Stanford

He's rated just below Harrison on most draft boards. Maybe it's because he's listed 2 inches shorter at 6-1. His 40 time is faster and he had double the tackles in 2017. It's possible he lasts until the 3rd round. I wouldn't take him at #34, but at #66 he'd be a good pick.

Here is his player profile from NFL.com

I'm watching him too

He's a bit of a hybrid, a big safety you could eventually drop down in the box.

If our DC likes versatile players, he's very much someone to look at
Harrison didn't run at the combine or pro day

Is going to be fine in the new regime and with what was basically his rookie outing under his belt.

And whereas I think Adams also can improve...

I am not at all adverse to drafting a great safety if a really great one presents himself. Good idea actually.

Due to that Collins may be at ILB at times.

Due to 'reinforce sucess theory'. By all means.

Same idea as with a great DT or NT for next to Snacks. You . take. The . opportunities.

When you DO have one great one, you add a great one in. that. unit. Just what we did in the 1980s at LB...just...Target DT and S right now due to reinforce success theory and having snacks and Collins.
