Like I thought I would be. A 1 year deal is pointless. We aren't winning a SB in 2018. Now if he signed a 5 year deal with another team then I'd be pissed we missed out.
Would be nice to add another veteran interior lineman (Joe Berger would be great if he doesn't retire).
They don't just need 1 DB but probably 2. Mike Mitchell and Eric Reid are both out there. Maybe a DRC reunion isn't out of the question. Tramon Williams also out there and had a good year with Bettcher last year.
If they cut Marshall they need another WR. Jarius Wright was cut today. He's a solid player and knows Shurmur's offense even though he's more of a slot.
K/P still question marks.
Would have been great to sign Honey Badger, but probably just not realistic given the holes on the roster.

And he is a playmaker. But he's most effective in the box, and Collins flourished his 2nd year when he didn't have to play FS, and could come up to the line. Not a bad pass, especially if there is still an injury concern.
He should have been the priority BEFORE Mathieu....
He is a horrible locker room guy. On top of that he publicly supported Aaron’s hernandez.
How do you know that? Just like James Harrison was a lockerroom problem? He was sticking up for a college teammate with Hernandez. Thats a reason to write him off as a FA?
Like I've said several times - I don't care that he played a billion snaps last year, he was not the same dynamic, all-pro talent he was in 2015 before he got hurt the following year.
This deal basically tells you that's the case.
Tyrann Mathieu at 100% and at the level he showed a few years ago does not sign a 1 year deal. I'm not even sure ARZ releases him if he's still playing at that level.
Reconstructive knee surgery, torn ACL, shoulder injury that ended his 2016 season..
Guy is 5'9" and under 190 lbs. Absolutely loved him as a player when he was at his best, but I think his best is clearly in the rear-view now.
Giants fans shouldn't be disappointed about this. It wouldn't have been a great signing for us.

On NFLN this week they showed a list in which the Honey Bsdger was in the Top 3 players in the league last year in combined Tackles/INTs/QB Hits. You're very wrong. He had an amazing season in 2017.

Yet his team released him and he's playing on a 1 year prove-it deal.

Didn't want him anyway!
They are my Vegas bet to win it all, btw, at 20/1.
Cut marshall Jerry Harris
Free up 10
15 total...
3 year deal...
Replacements...
Rookie money...
Could we not have made it happen?

This fucking place....
He’s signing with the Skins

He tore his ACL and LCL in 2013.
This dude has been really banged up. We're better off.
Perhaps Bettcher knows his value and if his injuries are more substantial than many like to think.

Collins is a strong safety. Mathieu plays the slot corner and free safety
You know you need two safeties right?

That OL though...not sure who they have at OT but it’s bad. Don’t think they have any picks in the first 2 rounds either

Makes sense.
