First off that means Buffalo is desperate and nervous about the Jets. I think it has to start with both of their 1st round picks this year. But pick 12 is pretty far down from 2 so I'd be asking for their 2019 1st round pick next year also. Do we stop there or can we get more?
Would those 3 1sts be enough for you to move out of 2? If answer is no, what would it take? But be realistic, anybody who says 3 1s and 2 2s, that'll never happen.
2018: 12, 22, second round pick.
2019: first and second round picks. (Might take a third round instead of a second round pick.)
Agreed.

Nope.
This. If it ain’t Cleveland or Denver calling, don’t even answer.
This.
2019: 1
Round 1 Pick 4 (CLE): Darnold, Sam, QB, Southern California (A)
Round 2 Pick 1 (CLE): Guice, Derrius, RB, LSU (A)
Round 2 Pick 4 (IND): Hernandez, Will, OG, Texas-El Paso (A)
Round 3 Pick 2: Kiser, Micah, ILB, Virginia (A)
Round 4 Pick 2: Bates III, Jessie, FS, Wake Forest (A+)
Round 4 Pick 4 (IND): Toliver II, Kevin, CB, LSU (A+)
Round 5 Pick 2: Callaway, Antonio, WR, Florida (A+)
Round 5 Pick 3 (IND): Lazard, Allen, WR, Iowa State (A)
Hernandez could be just as good and we still get a top 2 QB. A lot would have to happen so I don’t think it’ll play out like this but it’s fun playing
The three firsts are definites for me. I don't know that 1 or 2 seconds would be a big difference maker.
Buffalo would give us the biggest haul by far
- Buffalo's 2nd round pick in 2018
- Buffalo's 1st round pick in 2019
+1
Too much uncertainty with talent at #12 and #22. You can still get extra picks at #4, #5, or #6 and get a blue chip player.
Then we take either Nelson, Barkley or Fitzpatrick.
Likely both 2018 firsts, both 2018 seconds, their 2018 third, their 2019 first and second, AND their 2020 first. Minimum. May even have to include players with the trade.
There is a HUGE difference between 6 and 12.
Right about now, the Bills have to be FURIOUS with the Colts.

This is the minimum I’d accept.
Giants and fans should be happy w this haul. Should net 7/22 starters on cheap deals including their own picks. Assumes the all of the other rounds bust.

NOT EVEN CLOSE.
People, HOW IN THE WORLD do you accept almost the same deal that it took the Jets to move from 6 to 3 when you are moving from 2 to 12? If you were in the Giants front office and floated that idea to DG, you would be looking for a new job 2 minutes later.

Agreed.
Same here.
Might be a bit far fetched but I'm hoping the Jets get antsy their guy will be gone at 3 and offer the Giants their 1st next year to move up one spot.
Then the Giants can listen to offers for the #3. Maybe get a nice little haul from Denver to go from 3 > 5, and still grab a Blue Chip player. One of Barkley,Chubb,Nelson or Fitzpatrick.
Has to be three #1’s. Skins moved from 6 to 2 for three #1’s and a 2012 2. Maybe more. The freaking Bills would have to jump from 12!
I din’t remember the Wentz deal. That’s another comp. The Bills won’t move up to the Giants slot. They will have to trade down and still only settle for the 4th best QB.

Yep nailed it

Excellent point! Who has the 199th pick? That's where Brady was drafted - get the Titans on the phone and let's trade for that pick!
Thats STILL not enough!
The Jets moved up 3 spots by trading 2nds. If the Broncos want to move up its gotta cost even more than that.
5, 2nd this year, 3rd this year, 1st and 2nds next.
You can t have it both ways.
If the picks that valuable, keep it!
You and me have the right idea. Mug them blind

I think the beer was flowing early this st. Party's day at Rich's house.

We traded a fortune for Eli.
We drafted LT at 2.
Don’t forget that.
If it gives the Giants a couple of high picks next year(1st & 2nd/3rd), in addition to this years 2 first round picks and a 2nd/3rd, I do it. It’s give the Giants a chance to go BPA, or at least PBA at position of need in this years draft, and extra high picks to maneuver around next year with a better understanding of their needs.

They do if they want to guarantee their choice of QBs and still get Barkley. Or any two players for that matter. No guarantee the guy they would want is still there at 4, and the Browns have a lot of picks this year to trade if they wanted.
They have the two 1's, three 2's (the 1st,3rd and last in that Rd) and the 1st pick in Rd 3. That's six picks in the top 65 players. Plus another five picks in rds 4-7.
ok, too harsh.. I will leave them a 7th rounder next year.

It's true that Beckham was drafted 12th. 2014 was also flooded with talent. Not every year looks like this. Some of them are completely awful.

This trade would allow us to compete for this year and build a base for the future. We better love a QB at 2 in order to not take a deal like this.
Jets/Bills battle it out for the Giants pick. Giants end up trading down with Buffalo who can’t afford to sit back and let their AFC East Rivals get their guy (Rosen).
Giants get the 4th pick and an additional 1st rounder (likely not this year because Buffalo will have used both of those to move up with Cleveland.)
So, Giants get extra picks and still land the best player in the draft at #4 (Barkley IMO)

The Giants are not trading down for a pick in next years draft. Buffalo will have nothing left if they move to #4, so just what will they offer the Giants - next years #1 and #2? What good does that do?
Stay at #2 and take a QB or Barkley. (Although I admit trading with Buffalo for 12, 22, the 2 second rounders and next years #1 (plus) is tempting.)

What good does it do? Let's say for arguments sake the Giants want Barkley and not a QB. A move back to four in this scenario still enables them to get him, and they have extra picks next year. Isn't that better than just drafting him at 2 this year?
They could either keep those picks or use them to trade up next year if they wanted. Still have Barkley and some chips to play with. Win- win,IMO.

I'd absolutely do this. I may even do it for just the 2018 1's (both of them) and the 2019 #1.
