Hankins is not an 8.5M a year player. He's a nice player. The Colts signed him to a prove it deal and he proved he's not that.

at the right price. Hard worker who produced in his role. Kept Snacks and the LB clean and stopped the run dead.

He had a solid year. It just could be that the Colts are dolts.

As folks are saying. It's not the old 3/4 techniques....and what I am pushing is that not all 'nose "types" ' are limited to plugging.

There are those that can attack and disrupt if given the opportunity and yet may be less liable to get washed aside while they do it.

Enable those S/LB types.and enable those olb/4/3de types as well, to thrive.

Hankins would be cheap at this point.

He would do an excellent job as a back-up NT.

but how much could we pay him for that role? Some team will want him as a starter and while he's not Snacks, he's not a bad starter.

I doubt it. I think he's going to get another good contract.

but guess it is not possible to put a package together to get Hankins back. Forget these stop gap guys put him in there with Snacks and this defense will be top ten again. MO
