Question on Rosen medical history?

yankeeslover : 3/18/2018 10:01 am
Just a brief question. When do teams generally have access to his medical records? Is there a certain time frame? And I would assume due to hipaa laws that no records would be released to public so only way we would know if he medically clears ok is If he doesn't drop on draft day?
Also, for the doctors of BBI, how do they approach a player that already had a couple concussions? Are there test that they can perform to see if a player is suseptical to them? I'm not knocking Rosen and I would love him as our pick but I know others who are scared.

Brings me to a question

That's probably been answered but what's the last guy drafted or considered top 5 with the same or similar extent of medical concerns?

You could certainly get an MRI of the brain. I would, as well as a neck one to rule out any herniations there. Having said that, it most likely is repeated blows to the head that do the damage, not a few concussions. Probably. Now, I think in the future, it is possible they go back to a soft helmet. Rugby is a rough sport with tackling as well, but very little CTE. They will be reluctant as it will decrease some of the hits, but might save the sport.
More info on Rosen shoulder

Bleacher Report: How's the shoulder?

Josh Rosen: One hundred percent. Wasn't major surgery at all. I had a small tear in one of the muscles in the rotator cuff. They didn't actually repair anything. They scoped it, cleaned out the area, drained it and it healed on its own.
At best

Josh Rosen's career will mimic Tony Romo's career. Tony was a hell of a QB but often injured and hurting his team with the loss of continuity.

Its not 1 specific injury that concerns me about Josh. It is the history of being injured 2 out of 3 seasons in college. He was also injured in high school from a report I read. The players are bigger, stronger and faster here in the NFL.

Remember that hit Eli took against the Eagles I believe it was in his rookie season? Rosen doesn't get up from that. I thought they killed Eli.

You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't help your team by staying on the field especially with a #2 overall price tag than you are useless to me as a fan.

That is why I say pass on him.
