2007 his first is so overrated on here it's a joke.
Ross was average. Smith was on the verge of being a real valuable slot receiver for he long term until the injury. So he was a reasonably good pick. Alford was okay. DeOssie was a bit player. Boss was decent value. Koets and Johnson - nothing. Bradshaw was the star of the draft.
It was a decent draft but nothing exemplary. Where is the long term star(s)?

Bradshaw, Ross, Smith, Alford, Boss all played huge roles in winning the Super Bowl in 2007. The average shelf life of an NFL player is what, four years?
2008 which had Phillips, Thomas, Manningham and Goff turned out to do pretty well before career ending injuries.
Reese ran into some bad luck with things you can't predict.
2 Super Bowls including some great drafts and FA signings that helped win us both of those? That makes you sick?
Ok, I'll bite. Which draft class was great?
07. 08 should have been great you bad injury luck but anytime you can get 3 worthy starters picking late first 3 rounds you’ve done a great job. Phillips, Thomas and manningham. Not to mention Goff in the 5th. Should have been great.... 07 was great enough. Again, longevity issues but that’s bad luck. 2010 jpp and Joseph good enough. Some average drafts some good some very good or Great and then you have the recent firsts that haven’t paid dividends and look shaky at best.
Until the pattern of ignoring linebackers, running backs, tight ends and of course offensive lineman started presenting a few years back. And his pattern of picking flashy back-flipping divas. I lost all confidence the David Wilson pick and the Eli Apple pick. The flowers pick was a reach but I got it as it was a lineman but why not move back?
All i know is Mara fired one guy and picked mcadoo Â
We have been led to believe it was Mara that hand picked mcadoo and it probably was. Kind of hard for me to shovel most of the blame on Reese. Some blame yes, but to me this all goes back to ownership. Just the timing and “stench” of how everything unfolded here over the last 4 seasons or so. Mara obviously signs off on the Giants sort of going into a rebuild phase in 2014. They hold off on adding much needed beef to the defense and wait until 2016 to do so, conveniently months after they wacked coughlin. Ok fine, can sort of live with that even if it looked dirty. Mcadoo comes in wins 11 by accident with a very well balanced roster save for the running game. Then they shit the bed in 2017 and along with the pr disaster of all disasters... Mara sees fit to fire Reese... but you wonder if Reese would have been better served with a better HC under him. And Reese didn’t even pick the guy. He ain’t the villain in my book.

He took Wilson with the last pick in the first round and he ended up with a spinal issue, now we want to take a RB 2nd overall.
The Reese hate is comical
I wonder what people would say about the guy if we only won ONE Â
Reese's drafts were some of the worst in the league over that time period.
All of Reese's first round draft picks: Aaron Ross, Kenny Phillips, Nicks, JPP, Prince, David Wilson, Pugh, Odell, Flowers, Apple, Engram.
Of them, only one earned a second contract with the Giants. (Technically Ross had a second contract but it was after he left) Odell will get a second contract. Apple, Flowers? They might not make it past their first contracts.
The drafts sucked over that time period. Is Reese to fault? I think his biggest fault was keeping Marc Ross around. What has he ever done to show that he's a capable executive in the NFL?
his drafts sucked and sucked worse after he hired Ross.
all you guys blowing Reese for 2 Superbowls..
the pieces for both those wins came from the Rug.. and Eli pulls 2 wins out of his ass
in 2011 the OL was DONE and we could run the ball, i think Jacobs best run of the YEAR was in the playoffs against Atlanta
the job Reese did on the OL after 2011 was bordering on criminal.
how many of his first round picks make it beyond their rookie deals? how many of his draftees are out of the league while they should be within their normal playing careers?
come on man
Did what he could with Reese's drafts. They were bottom tier and why he's been since fired.
We see what Tom is now doing.
Except he's not the GM there.
What about all those missed playoff appearances because they started the season 6-2 and choked?
I blame Tom for putting that trust in Matt Dodge - I suppose. Not Tom's fault for the erosion of the OL and downright awful picks for seven or so years.

David Wilson Wouldn’t even be in the tier below Barclay based on talent. It was a head scratcher of a pick. Outside of two good plays he stunk before the injury.
ditto
you don't know that

He didn't shag your wife.
you don't know that
LOL!
From the perspective of a another minority getting a crack at running a team, I'm glad Reese got that chance.
He was ordinary, at best, and deserved to be jettisoned at least three years ago...
disagree, reese did not gave him the tools to succeed.
Reese tenure is odd, 2SB and some very very poor drafts.
I say the same thing. Coughlin can’t do any wrong even missing the playoffs four straight years and Reese gets all the blame for it
Ok, I'll bite. Which draft class was great?
Who said it makes me sick? Which Draft was great? Im confused

lol. Considering the time between the Super Bowls just destroys this ridiculous statement

Yeah thanks for this circus and no playoff wins so far...
