Hell that im wrong, but Duke will crush Cuse. They have not done well against teams who have seem them
I agree. I’m the biggest Cuse homer on the planet but Duke is just a terrible matchup. Duke destroyed them once already this season and have much more talent. Plus they are playing zone much more now and Syracuse can’t shoot for shit.
All that said, go Cuse! The underdog roll has suited us well over the years so we shall see what happens.
Shitty to see Berry and Pinson go out like this. They just xant throw it in the kcean, very dependent on the three and they have misse dwht, 25 of them? Recipe for a game like this
But man he’s had some brutal early losses lately and he seems to get a pass. Two lottery picks on his team and multiple other draft picks, playing in their own back yard and they can barely break 50. Did they not expect to see zone from Syracuse?? Lol
Brutal, and this is with the 2/15 loss just two years prior, still the biggest first round upset I’ve ever seen, even after this tournament
ACC having an absolutely terrible weekend. What a total disaster.
Watching deputy dog defeated on the bench kind of makes up for it.
That’s a bit much, no? The ACC already has 3 teams in the sweet 16, assuming Clemson holds on to their 35 point lead, and Florida State still has yet to play.

Fair point - just watching the top 2 teams in the conference outed early in embarrassing fashion is a bad look.
i mean I think it has consisted for about 55% of the shots taken.
Izzo with a pathetic coaching performance. He played Carter the whole 2nd half, who is atrocious on offense. He get the ball at the high post and cant shoot, drive, or be a scorer. Why he didnt put bridges in the middle and Ward/Jackson on the baseline was just a very bad coaching decision.
Obviously didn't think it would be two massive comebacks to get to the 16, but I thought they had a good path because their opponents would be teams that couldn't score when they needed to. Played out against Cincy. But now Loyola can score, so we'll see.
All I'll say is Calipari must have some Irish in him. Got screwed on seeding and he's a Bruce Weber away from the Elite 8.

The MSU-MTSU game is actually the one that first came to mind in the waning minutes of our disaster. Random team suddenly gets white hot, making low percentage shots over and over, while the better team can't hit water from the boat, and MSU didn't even have the fig leaf of an injured key player.
The second one was UVA-Clemson from the regular season, the game where we held then to 36. That was their first game without Grantham and they looked completely disorganized and confused. Just like we did Saturday. Makes me wish Hunter had gone out before the ACC title game instead and gotten most of the upheaval out of the way then. Easy for me to say now but even one game to adjust might have made the difference.
At least the Heels fans at work can't laugh too much at us now! Heh...
Cincy blowing a 22 point lead and Xavier had their foot on FSU's throat and pretty much crushed the larynx yet let them chip away and make a run. These teams in the tourney can't ease up.
And I agree with Izzo's coaching. He was getting quality shots working the ball around, especially to the baseline but the last 5 minutes, they basically worked the perimeter and took brick after brick from 3.

Michigan State was a strange team this season. Their most effective player was Ward and they went away from him for long stretches all season. Bridges could take over anytime he wanted, but rarely did. Parts never fit.
Really like Conzaga's road to another final four Â
Yeah, I agree. I think I'll be closer than when they played in the regular season, but I have a hard time seeing them pulling this out.
Still, three wins in five days, holding another team to 30 points under their average. Just amazing.
Duke's shooting usually destroys zone teams too. Best way to play Duke is tough man defense and force their PG (Duval) to make plays
And lost.
I watched the game at Cameron and Cuse d was tough. If Cuse hits shots they have a chance.

But the zone is magic in the Tourney.
Haven't missed a pick yet.
Haha.

Amazing win for the ‘noles! FSU baby!!!!

If I had more confidence in Michigans free throws shooting, I would start to believe them as legit final 4 and possibly title contenders.
