Followed by,

Murder...... She Wrote

Growing up Pat Summerall and John Madden called the games I enjoyed the most. Yet, I remember Pat's call the most as we heard it almost every Sunday for many years.

Check out the stadium..

Enjoy

The big sport voices of my childhood.

Gold.

...but I believe 'PEAK NFL' experience may have been that 86' season. Madden Summerall in their prime, before plan B Free Agency destroyed long-term team building, before size and speed began causing injuries on a ridiculous scale, before fucking $20 parking and $120 face-value tickets and PSL's. Before

When you could hold an extra spot for your tailgate party.

When the Hawthorne Caballeros still ruled halftime.

That trip to Pasadena - McConkey coming out of the tunnel... yeah, there have been many great seasons and memories since, but for me, that was the best of it.
the irony is how bad

And it will NEVER EVER be the same. Miss them so so very much.
Plan B really killed it...

...those Dynasties - the 60's Packers, the generations of great Cowboy teams, the 70's Dolphins, Steelers, Raiders and Vikings, the Niners and NFC East teams of the 80's...

Teams had and held an identity for years - at fist, I loved Plan B because the Aikman Cowboys were shredded by it, but eventually realized it sucks to have your team dismembered the moment it gets good.
