has not been an indicator of interest level. They've drafted players who have said they had no sense that the Giants were interested and they've met often with players who they feel had the most questionmarks.
to get someone interested in him to make offers, or, in the current NFL, a mobile QB is the trend and a mobile QB rolling out +/- can create his own passing lane, and ideal in the type of O created in Minny.
Other than the hate to lose personality, he is the contra-Eli, and would be a culture shock to ownership and fans so a very thorough evaluation and vetting is necessary.
He might be that: when we see that guy we'll know it, that PS was talking about re: the #2 pick.
He's my favorite of the QBs,but if he's not theirs and their guy with NE games, fine.
of who is the GM, the Giants have traditionally met with players they have questions about. Mayfield has some off and on the field incidents they may want to discuss. I'd be stunned if the Giants draft him. He doesn't fit their size requirements for the position.

Size requirements are with the old regime. Meetings with players in the past left with Reese and Ross. Who knows what Gettleman's tendencies are.
RE: It bears mentioning that the Giants meeting or not meeting a prospect
has not been an indicator of interest level. They've drafted players who have said they had no sense that the Giants were interested and they've met often with players who they feel had the most questionmarks.
Also worth mentioning that this is a completely new regime running the show so simply looking at the past may not be a great indicator of the present.
a lot of our first round picks were guys that we never met with. Generally I think it would be normal not to meet with the player you draft, but when you are picking 2nd overall I'm not sure it's likely.
But if meetings can be used as an indicator of draft strategy, then you can argue that it's a tell for other teams to know what the Giants may do in the draft.
I would think a front office wants to hide their intentions. Doing it the way the past front office did seems like a solid way to not be predictable.

Was going to say the same thing. Its a new regime. They may do things differently.
