...still has the Giants going Quenton Nelson at #2, allowing the Jets to snag Josh Rosen one pick later.
Here's my opinion / best guess:
(1) The Giants will never gift wrap Josh Rosen to the Jets;
(2) If they do (and decide on Nelson), then Dave Gettleman is real serious about running the ball more often and squeezing whatever's left in Eli's tank;
(3) He has Josh Allen conveniently falling to Buffalo at #12. He may be a less than 60% passer, but he doesn't get past Denver at #5. Buffalo is gonna have to trade way up for their guy.
(4) Huge fan of Quenton Nelson, but he is the wrong guy at the wrong time for the wrong team. Eli's replacement needs to be found this draft.

...same date (March 19th), has Josh Rosen going #2 to the Giants.
(And Darnold #1 to Browns and Mayfield #3 to Jets).
IMO, this is the most likely scenario how this Draft unfolds (but maybe Allen replacing Mayfield at #3).

We take ROSEN and KEEP him if we think he is the next Giants QB of the future. Watching behind ELI for say 10 games or so, if the Giants are "out of contention" for the playoffs, well you insert Rosen for some experience and see how it goes.
I'd SCREAM if they took an OL with #2 pick in draft.

For the Jets, they have to win now. Sure they got a 39 McCown to hold the fort, but Bowles and the GM only have a 2 year extension. Mayfield or Rosen is their guy.
... a 50-yar reincarnation of Joe Namath to the Jets?
Even Kiper is better. I do enjoy Brooks' analysis from time to time, but he is terrible at mocks.
Maybe we trade Eli to them for a first rounder and they can roll the dice with another Manning and SB.
Quote:
the trade partner for the Giants is Denver if the Giants are not in on the QB's. Pick up a bunch of picks and then get 1 of Chubb, Nelson or Barkley.

Eli has a no trade clause so he has to approve any trade
